Taiqing Temple
Taiqing temple is located at the foot of Jilong mountain, 20 kilometers east of Jiangyin City, in Huashi town. Huaxi Village in the south, Xiangyang resort in the north, green mountains and bamboo, charming scenery.

Historical origin
Taiqing temple, first built in the chiwu period of the Three Kingdoms, has a history of more than 1700 years. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, Wu Guotai, the mother of Sun Quan, built seven temples and eight pagodas in the south of the Yangtze River. Taiqing temple is one of them. During the Jingde period of the Song Dynasty, qine Jingde temple was established. During the Zhizheng period of the Yuan Dynasty, Kaishan monks changed their name to Taiqing temple.
During the prosperous period of Taiqing temple, there were 5048 temples. The mountain gate was set at Taishi bridge. The monks had to drive their horses to open and close the gate. The temple was rebuilt in the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the sixth year of Chenghua, with an inscription of "the restoration of Taiqing Temple". After several years of dilapidation, after several repairs. In the 36th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the monks built the main hall, rebuilt the heavenly king hall in the 12th year of Yongzheng, and rebuilt the backyard in the 7th year of Daoguang. In 1937, when the Japanese invaded Jiangyin, the Taiqing temple was seriously damaged, the temple was destroyed, and the host Jingyu was killed. Since then, the temple has been in disrepair for a long time.
Buddhist activities
During the cultural revolution, all the Buddhist statues in Taiqing temple were destroyed, and the monks were repatriated, leaving only a few rooms in the main hall and Tianwang hall.
Taiqing Temple
In February 1993, it was approved by Jiangyin Municipal People's government to be restored as a Buddhist activity site, with 50 mu of land (including 10 mu of release pool) allocated and more than 1 million yuan invested for restoration. Fifty five temples and 41 statues of Buddha made of camphor wood have been built. They were opened on June 19, 1993. Prosperous period
Every year on February 19 of the lunar calendar is the temple fair of Taiqing temple. On this day, pilgrims gather in Taiqing temple. On October 18, 1995, the foundation of the 445 square meter main hall was laid, and a foundation laying ceremony was held. On April 18, 1997, Taiqing Temple held the ceremony of the completion of the main hall and the opening of the Buddha statue.
