Xiangmi Park

Xiangmi Park, formerly known as agricultural park, is a municipal park located in Futian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China. It opened on July 19, 2017, adjacent to Xiangmihu in the East and Hongli Road in the south, surrounded by nongyuan Road, Zetian Road, Qiaoxiang road and Xiangmihu road from west to East, covering a total area of 424000 square meters, including 330000 square meters of green land. On the basis of inheriting the culture of the former site, the park has set up multi-functional areas such as wedding hall, green library and sports center.

Location context

The initial planning scope of Xiangmi park is the land between Xiangmihu Road, Hongli West Road, nongyuan road and Qiaoxiang road in Futian District 05-03, Shenzhen. Before that, the flower world of Agricultural Science Center has been formed, and the distribution center of flowers, potted plants, seeds sales and exhibitions has been formed. It is planned to build Futian agricultural ecological park here in 2003.

Xiangmi park is a comprehensive municipal park, which is based on the principle of public opening and ecological protection, integrates urban leisure and entertainment functions, and integrates culture, leisure and experience. There are natural exhibition hall, activity center, resource recycling center, management service center, flower expo park, library, wedding hall, art gallery and other public buildings in the park. The park is divided into sports and leisure area, fruit tree park, ecological water system area and flower living area. It can not only meet the requirements of leisure and entertainment, but also has the functions of outdoor flower science exhibition and life education.

Park features

Xiangmi Park was built by Tiehan ecology on March 31, 2016. After nearly 16 months of careful polishing, it finally met with the public. According to reports, the construction of the park involves steel structure, bridges, indoor and outdoor decoration, garden construction, greening, water and soil conservation, water supply and drainage, iron art, wood art and other majors, with a total of 32 professional teams participating in the construction of the park. There are many kinds of plants in the park, including 80 kinds of trees and 60 kinds of shrubs. In the process of plant design and selection, we not only pay attention to the aesthetic feeling of appearance collocation, but also consider the terrain, climate, planting habits and other factors.

In the process of the project construction, the leaders of the urban area and the Urban Management Bureau of Futian District conducted on-site inspection and guidance for many times. Tiehan ecology has been adhering to high requirements of construction, strict quality management, careful organization of construction, to create a quality project. According to Liu Derong, chief project commander of Xiangmi Park and chief ecological expert of Tiehan ecology, the construction of Xiangmi Park follows the concept of "perfect combination of ecological technology and environmental art" advocated by Tiehan ecology, and adheres to green construction, resource recycling and energy conservation and environmental protection technology application in Xiangmi Park project.

The concept of "sponge city"

In April 2016, Shenzhen was selected as the second batch of pilot cities for sponge city construction. Xiangmi park green space is an important carrier of sponge city construction. During the construction, the landscape water system is constructed by using the site topography and rainwater confluence characteristics, which retains the current permeable natural area and forest land. Most of the paving sites and buildings are set in the original hardened area, which largely continues the function of natural sponge in the park land.

There are concave grass belts on both sides of the slow track in the park, which are ecological grass ditches set up according to the concept of sponge city. It can retain, absorb and control the speed of runoff. Another highlight of the park is the ecological dry stream, which is made of the original gullies in the park. During the rainfall period, the stagnant water of the dry stream is stored, and the water is conserved and purified by aquatic plants and percolation layer at the bottom of the stream, so as to guide the regional rainwater collection and strengthen the "sponge" ecological effect; during the dry season, the dry stream is formed by landscape stones, pebbles and various plants, which is natural and pleasant.

Take weaving urban culture as design concept

With the design concept of "weaving urban culture", Xiangmi Park connects the four functional areas of sports and leisure, mountain forest and orchard, ecological water system and flower life through leisure footpath, ecological water system and aerial plank road, realizing the design integration of multiple elements such as "past and future", "Park and City", "landscape and life". In the center of the city, Xiangmi park is not only a valuable natural space, but also a platform for citizens' communication, cultural exchange and information sharing, which effectively promotes the growth and integration of urban culture. As the main entrance area of the park, the art weaving Square takes nostalgia as the theme to arouse people's historical memory of the park. The design concept of jumping and contrasting ribbons and concrete weaving culture is used in the ground pavement to lead people to wander between memory and reality, and explore more joy and surprise in the deja vu, which is full of unique artistic charm.

The water quality of Huaxiang lake and huami Lake reached the third class water standard

Huaxiang lake and huami Lake were formerly two old ponds. Tiehan ecological combined with its own technical advantages, the pond was transformed and expanded after opening up, to ensure that the purification index of water quality reached the three standards. To prevent local eutrophication of the water system, water circulation is used to create flow (creating deep pools and shoals, overflow weirs, water drops and pumps). Ecological purification technology not only purifies water, but also constructs the ecological chain based on food chain.

There are many kinds of plants

There are many kinds of plants in Xiangmi Park, including about 80 kinds of trees and 4344 newly planted plants, about 60 kinds of shrubs and 9659 newly planted plants, about 100 kinds of ground cover with an area of 8740 square meters, and 114745 square meters of turf with a green space rate of 81.2%.

The theme plants of the park are Campanula and hibiscus. Fragrance, the use of floral plants, such as brandy, Huanglan, Milan, thyme, four seasons osmanthus, gardenia, etc. Honey is the nectar plant that attracts bees, butterflies and birds, and the plant that represents sweet life and love. Characteristic water stream and dry stream, combined with litchi forest space, increase fern characteristic plants.

Rose Garden

Rose represents love and romance. Rose is known as "Queen of flowers" and "gem on the ring". The project carefully selected a number of rose and rose varieties suitable for Southern growth, combined with other Rosaceae plants, to create a demonstration area for Rose introduction and trial planting in Xiangmi park.

At the same time, with other Rosaceae plants, Rhododendron and Chimonanthus mume, the flower bed, hedgerow, flower belt, flower tree, flower border, flower rack, flower wall, flower sea and other planting forms are applied. Through the design strategies of planting with trees and shrubs, matching with architectural sketches, combining with garden Road, combining with terrain, soil improvement and so on, the rose garden is highlighted by hollow out lamps and road signs with rose patterns“ It has the characteristics of "essence, specialty, beauty and fragrance".
