Located in Qinglongqiao, Yanqing District, Beijing. Zhan Tianyou (1861-1919) was the first generation of railway engineering expert in China. From 1905 to 1909, he presided over the construction of Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway, the first railway designed and constructed by himself in China. The tomb was originally in wanquanzhuang, Haidian District, and was moved to Qinglong bridge in Yanqing on May 20, 1982. The bronze statue was erected in 1919. The tomb faces south. The platform is 6 meters long, 284 meters wide and 06 meters high. On the black marble tombstone was inscribed "the life of Mr. Zhan Tianyou".

Zhan Tianyou (1861-1919) was the first generation of railway engineering expert in China. From 1905 to 1909, he presided over the construction of Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway, the first railway designed and constructed by himself in China. Zhan Tianyou was born in Wuyuan, Anhui Province. Zhan Tianyou was born in Nanhai County, Guangdong Province on April 26, 1861. He was admitted to the United States to study at public expense in 1872. He graduated from the Department of civil engineering, Sheffield Institute of technology, Yale University in June 1881 and returned to China in August of the same year. As an expert of Railway Engineering in China, he presided over the construction of Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway from 1905 to 1909. For the arduous project of mountain peak danger from Nankou to Badaling, he adopted the "herringbone" line to reduce the number of projects according to local conditions, and used the "shaft construction method" to excavate the Badaling tunnel with a total length of 1091 meters, and completed the first railway designed by China two years ahead of schedule. He died in Hankou Renji Hospital on April 24, 1919, at the age of 59.
