Memorial Museum of Humanities
Shanghai Fushouyuan Museum of humanities is the first museum in China to collect, display, research, exchange, education and other functions in the field of humanities. Xing Tonghe, a famous Chinese architect, designed the main building, and Nan Huaijin, a master of Sinology, inscribed the name of the museum.
The museum has an indoor exhibition area of 2000 square meters, with the life stories and literature materials of 100 celebrities and sages living in Fushouyuan as the exhibition contents. There are nearly 3000 pieces of celebrity relics and cultural and historical materials.
With the theme of "appreciating the splendor of life and cherishing the memory of the city", the memorial aims to collect a precious historical memory and cultural wealth for Shanghai, an international metropolis.
Basic Display
The overall layout of the exhibition is divided into three levels, with three basic displays of "praise of life", "story of life" and "message of life", as well as "echo of life" old film screening hall, meditation room and celebrity library.
The Theme Pavilion of "praise of life" is located on the first floor of the memorial hall. On display in the museum are the most famous and influential 12 elites among the more than 500 celebrities in Fu Shou yuan.
The Theme Pavilion of "story of life" is located on the second floor. Under the theme of "story of life", there are six unit exhibition areas, which are displayed in the East and West pavilions. The six exhibition areas are "exploration of life", "fraternity of life", "loyalty of life", "wisdom of life", "tenacity of life" and "brilliance of life".
"Message of life" epitaph Plaza is located on the ground floor. It is a unique epitaph theme exhibition area of the museum, with a collection of nearly 150 classic epitaph inscriptions of Fu Shou yuan and the world.

Film and television screening: the "echo of life" on the first floor of the museum - the old film screening hall regularly presents you with special short films about the architecture, collection, characters and Shanghai film history of the Shanghai humanities Memorial Museum.
Lectures and educational activities: the library provides a wealth of lectures and educational activities. Please pay attention to the notice and website information.
Reading: the celebrity bookstore is located on the ground floor. Visitors can go to it from the revolving stairs in the hall and read all kinds of books for free.
Shopping: the gift shop is located on the ground floor, with many exquisite gifts, books, audio and video available.
Barrier free service: the museum has elevators accessible to all floors, and toilets on all floors are equipped with facilities for the disabled.
Notice to visitors
Food and colored drinks are not allowed in the museum.
Smoking is forbidden in the museum.
Mobile phones are not allowed in exhibition halls and projection halls.
Flash and tripod are not allowed in the exhibition hall. The image data taken shall not be used for commercial purposes.
Those with incomplete clothing, pets, inflammables, explosives and dangerous goods are not allowed to visit the museum.
