The former sites of the August 1 Uprising belong to the national key protection units, including the former sites of the general headquarters of the August 1 Uprising of the Communist Party of China, the former sites of the Helong headquarters, the former sites of the Zhude military education regiment, the former sites of the yeting headquarters and the former residence of Zhude. The former site of "August 1 Uprising", the former site of the New Fourth Army headquarters, Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall and August 1 Uprising Memorial Tower have become a red tourism line in Nanchang of the people's Republic of China.
Site group of Bayi Uprising
The national key protection unit is located in the beautiful Aixi Lake scenic spot of Nanchang national high tech Zone, which was founded in March 1991. August 1 Nanchang Uprising Memorial Hall
Completed on January 8, 1979, it is located at the south end of Bayi Square. The tower was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the August 1 Nanchang Uprising. The tower is rectangular in shape, with a total height of 45.5 meters. To the north of the tower, there are nine bronze gilded characters of "August 1 Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower" written by Marshal Ye Jianying. The former site group of the August 1 Uprising, namely the headquarters, is located at No. 380, the middle section of Zhongshan Road in Shizhong, formerly known as "Jiangxi Grand Hotel". At the end of July 2007, the new museum will be open to the public free of charge after its expansion.
Zhu De's former residence is located at No. 2, huayuanjiao
. It is a brick and wood structure two-story building, sitting in the west facing east, carved cornice hanging in the lintel, two gates, with patio, a typical Jiangnan residence. On the north side of the first floor is Zhu De's bedroom, and on the north side of the second floor is Guo Moruo's house, where he once wrote "look at Chiang Kai Shek today.".
Helong headquarters
(the former site of the 20th Army Headquarters) is located at No. 85 Zigu Road, Shizi. Liu Bocheng and Yun Daiying also lived in it.
Former site of yeting Nanchang headquarters
Located in No.2 Middle School of Nanchang City, SUPU Road, it is a two-story "Gong" Western-style building with brick and wood structure.
Site of New Fourth Army Headquarters
Built in 1915, it is the residence of Zhang Xun, a Northern Warlord. There are two brick and wood buildings and one bungalow in it. It is an ancient building with Chinese and Western styles.
Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall
Located in the north section of Bayi Avenue, it was built in 1953. Mao Zedong wrote in the front hall: "communism is irresistible!" "A single spark can start a prairie fire! Long live the martyrs. There is a monument on the altar in the main hall, inscribed by Zhu De: "the revolutionary martyrs will live forever!" The August 1 Uprising marked the first shot of the Communist Party of China against the reactionaries of the Kuomintang. It marked the beginning of the Communist Party of China's independent creation of the revolutionary army and leadership of the revolutionary war. Therefore, August 1 became the army day of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army and later the Chinese people's Liberation Army.
