Development history
Zhuji museum is located in Lingtang mountain (next to children's Park), Dongyi Road, Chengguan Town, Zhuji City, Shaoxing City. It covers an area of more than 20 mu, with a construction area of more than 3600 square meters and an investment of more than 12 million yuan. The construction started in May 1997 and completed on December 28. The exhibition began in early 1998 and was officially opened to the public on October 8.
The Museum of cultural relics and historical sites introduces the 5000 year long history of Zhuji, which is divided into three parts: the ancient capital of Yue, Wangxian County in eastern Zhejiang, and outstanding people. The unearthed cultural relics, combined with materials and pictures, show Zhuji, a city with a long history, well-developed agriculture, rich famous products, prosperous literary style, and many celebrities.
Chen HongShou memorial hall is specially designed to commemorate Chen Hongshou, a painter of the first generation. The exhibition in the memorial hall introduces Chen Hongshou's life and some works of Chen's descendants. Pearl Pavilion is an exhibition hall with strong local characteristics. Zhuji is the "hometown of pearls" in China. In 1996, it was named as the hometown of folk art in China - the hometown of Pearl stringing art. The museum displays the culture and processing process of pearls, as well as the rare Pearl King in China, the moon pearl, and various pearl crafts.
The folk custom museum reproduces the folk customs of Jiyang in four parts: Festival etiquette, daily life, agricultural and sideline production and folk crafts.
The temporary exhibition hall is mainly used to hold all kinds of scientific, educational and artistic exhibitions from time to time.

Design features
The main building of the museum is built on the mountain, high and low, with magnificent momentum. Taking the Han style as the keynote, it adopts the imitation Han architectural style of high platform and square roof, and is connected with the Jiuqu corridor inside. It is a landmark building in Jiyang new town of Zhuji City, and is known as the model project of the county-level Museum of Zhejiang Province.
Basic Display
The museum mainly consists of historical relics museum, Pearl Museum and folk custom museum. It reproduces the 6000 year long history and splendid culture of Zhuji, condenses the folk customs of Jiyang, and displays the treasures of traditional and modern folk crafts in Zhuji. Among them, the Museum of cultural relics and historical sites is the main content of the basic display, which is divided into three parts: "the old capital of ancient Yue", "Wangxian County in eastern Zhejiang" and "outstanding people". It is mainly composed of unearthed cultural relics, with pictures and materials to show the audience a Zhuji City with a long history, developed agriculture, rich famous products, prosperous literary style and many celebrities. The whole exhibition hall takes the form of history as the line and the combination of history and objects.
Collection
Bronze charcoal furnace in the spring and Autumn period. It is 16 cm in height and 38 cm in diameter. Oblate, flat lip, arc belly, round bottom. The mouth is decorated with cobra pattern, and the abdominal wall is decorated with cloud and thunder pattern. The upper abdomen is cast with a pair of symmetrical head rings, and the lower abdomen is welded with two ring-shaped handles. There is a triangle hole in the center of the inner bottom, and four square holes are arranged around. There are nine animal patterns on the base, which are bonded with the circular bottom.
The four treasures of the study include rhinoceros Paperweight, stone pen holder and turtle button water note. They are exquisitely made and unique in shape. They can be called "treasures of the town hall". In particular, the stone penholder has carved 32 orderly peaks. The central peaks rise from the ground, and the edge fluctuates with the trend, showing the majestic posture of the mountains. The color of the penholder is dark, delicate and smooth.
