Jianyuan is located in xiaoxiangfeng Hutong, Xicheng District. It was originally built by Prince Gong Yixin, also known as "Zhiyuan".

The park faces south with a construction area of 580 square meters. There is a screen wall outside the gate, and there are eight shaped gate walls on both sides. Inside the gate, there is a shadow wall garden gate. Next to the street, there is a row of inverted rooms with the lower shoulder of tiger skin stone wall. There are three courtyards in the East, each with a north room and a left and right plagiarism corridor. The foundation of each entrance is higher than that of the previous one, and the last one is higher than the back wall. The interior is decorated with Phoebe, with flower cover and railing cover. Bi gauze cabinet divides 5 rooms into front and back rooms. A glass mirror as big as the wall is inlaid on the wooden bed of the floor cover in the north of the middle. You can see the scenery of lakes and mountains in the mirror when you lie in bed. It is the main scene of Jianyuan garden and also the meaning of its name. The rockery in the west half of the garden is made of green stones. There is a pavilion with six corners on the main hill. There are stones around the flat part. There is a flower hall in front of the rockery. During the period of the Republic of China, Jianyuan was sold by Pu Wei, a descendant of Prince Gong. After several changes of hands, the buildings in the garden were slightly demolished and basically preserved.
