Caoyan Park
Caoyan park is located between Guangzhou railway station and Dabei interchange, with an area of 13400 square meters. The park is named after Li He's poem "warm grass, dim clouds, ten thousand li spring". However, the layout and architecture of the park are quite different from Chinese style.
brief introduction
The design of the park absorbs the characteristics of the west, planting red and green flowers and trees on more than 8000 square meters of lush grassland; the geometric pools are matched with ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, and the dandelion like water spray patterns in the pool are colorful under the sunlight, such as numerous rainbow folding buttons, which make the static and dynamic scenery in the park harmonious and unified. In the garden, the main building imitates the European castle style. In the center of the hall are music fountains and dance floor, surrounded by coffee and tea seats. Visitors can enjoy music, watch fountains and dance on the dance floor during tasting and chatting.
Location and geography
Caoyan park is the first Western-style garden in Guangzhou. It is a comprehensive park integrating sightseeing, singing and dancing. Located next to Guangzhou railway station, Huanshi West Road, the park covers an area of 13400 square meters. It was built in 1985 and was named after Li He of Tang Dynasty for "warm grass and dark clouds". The name of the garden is inscribed by Ou Chu, mayor of Guangzhou.
Park features
The caowan Park, built in 1987, is the first to absorb western gardening techniques. It adopts a fully open cast iron flower fence to integrate the garden style into the whole city. In the 13400 square meter garden, grassland, trees, flowers, buildings and fountain constitute a beautiful landscape with rich colors, smooth lines and bright rhythm. The main buildings of the park, including music fountain, coffee shop with dance floor, conference room and flower rest platform, are all techniques that have never been used in traditional Chinese garden design. Once the Caoyan Park was launched, it not only won the favor of Guangzhou citizens, but also became the first urban garden built by western method in China after liberation, which caused great shock in the landscape industry of the whole country.
In the garden, a large area of grassland (more than 8000 square meters) is used as the background, with flowers and trees in between, forming an open, elegant and unique natural landscape. On this basis, it forms a staggered architectural pattern with paths, flower sheds, spires and Spanish style cafes. There are fountain inside and outside the cafeteria in the park. The geometric pool outside the courtyard is equipped with disc sprinkler. Inside the courtyard is a lantern music fountain with a width of 100 square meters. It is the first large-scale modern acousto-optic music fountain in Guangzhou.
