It is said that Er GUI was ordered by the Dragon King of the East China Sea to eavesdrop on the story of Guanyin. Being fascinated by it, he missed the return time and turned the turtle into a stone. He also said that two turtles, one male and one female, had not broken their fate. When listening to the Dharma, they frowned and looked at each other to express their feelings. They were punished as stone turtles by Guanyin. The former is strange, while the latter is wonderful. Each has its own merits.

Two turtle listening method stone is located on the cliff at the bottom of 53shen stone in the west of pantuo stone. On the cliff, there are two stones that look like turtles. One turtle crouches on the top of the cliff. Looking back, it seems that he is waiting.

On the cliff another turtle edge stone straight up, head up, fascia exposed, a pair of anxious phase. The shape of the two turtles is very vivid, which makes visitors marvel. It is said that the two turtles were ordered by the Dragon King to listen to the story of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Because they were fascinated and forgot their return date, they were turned into stones by Guanyin Bodhisattva. It is also said that the two turtles were originally a female and a male. Because of their close relationship, they were always looking at each other when listening to the Dharma. Therefore, they were punished as stone turtles and gave a warning to those who were not sincere in their practice. The former is strange, and the latter is wonderful. He Chensheng, a man of Qing Dynasty, said in his poem: "it is said that Pan Tuo is like the spirit of the earth. Pu men once sat here to talk about scriptures. What's the matter with the two turtles? I don't know when I heard that. " This is another way to say about two turtles. There are 53 ginseng stones on the top of Er GUI Ting FA stone. The big one stands a hundred feet on the side, and the small one is as tired as an egg. They are vertical and horizontal. They are not only different in ecology, but also move and deform, which makes people feel threatened. With the alternation of morning, dusk, sunshine and rain and the change of dawn, fog and dusk, this group of strange rocks will also show different hues. Zhao Mengying, a calligrapher and painter of the Yuan Dynasty, wrote in his poem "you bu Tuo:" there are many auspicious flowers in the grass and rocks, and the stone forest and the water mansion are separated from the earth. " There are many strange stones in Mount Putuo, and the 53shen stone is the most abundant one.
