Because most of the immigrants here were "Qiu", they named it qiujiazhuang, and later renamed it Daqiuzhuang.

For hundreds of years, salty and waterlogging have become two obstacles that the people of Daqiuzhuang can not overcome. In order to overcome the adverse effects of the two natural disasters, generation after generation of people of Daqiuzhuang have made many attempts, among which the more obvious effect should be "Taizi land", the so-called "Taizi land" is in the land If the field is built high and the ditch is dug deep, it can prevent waterlogging and discharge alkali. However, in the old society, the land was in private hands, and each was responsible for his own affairs. The "terrace land" was uneven in height, seven in horizontal and eight in vertical, and the grain yield per mu was very low. Even for a good plot, the grain yield per mu was only 150 Jin in a good year, but it was only 100 Jin in a general year.
