Liu's ladder is a west facing Chinese and Western style building complex, commonly known as "red house". Its owner is Liu anbi, named Tiqing and the third son of Liu Yong. The main hall is called Chongde hall, so it is also called Liu Shiti.
The overall architecture of Chongde hall consists of three parts: South, middle and North
.
The buildings in the central part are mainly halls, halls and buildings with traditional Confucian cultural ideas. The most distinctive feature is that the southern and Northern Chinese buildings are integrated into the Western European Roman architecture. Among them, the northern European architectural facade is particularly spectacular, and the mansion is as high as grand. It is famous for its exquisite brick, wood and stone carvings.
The hall is a Chinese style hall. There is a plaque of "Chongde hall" hanging in the hall. There are holding column couplets and picture screens on both sides. The middle column is thick and needs to be held by two people. The main beam is gilded with three-level pattern. Liang Fang, que Ti, Xuan Lang, floor long windows and floor windows are all engraved with exquisite auspicious patterns, reflecting the traditional style and taste of the Liu family.
In the second hall, there is a plaque of "Baoku box" (Baoku box means to stick to sincerity, loyalty and law). After the house, a lawn was originally set up as a tennis court, and cows were raised on one corner. There used to be a huge self ringing bell on the clock tower beside the East and West pools, whose sound could be heard from far and near. Now it has become a garden of nearly 300 square meters, in which trees and flowers are planted, rocks are piled into mountains and Pinus bungeana is planted. Besides, there is a crescent shaped pond for storing water and planting lotus. Beside the pond, there are pavilions, corridors and other architectural sketches, with beautiful people to rest.
Liu Tiqing, the owner of the house, is the third son of Liu Yong, the richest man of Nanxun's "four elephants". He is an alternate Taoist in Zhili Province. He is awarded the title of "three grades". There is a Garden Lane beside the house. The name of huayuannong originated from the Hua family of Nanxun in the late Yuan Dynasty. Because the Hua family built a garden in this lane, it was named huayuannong. The Zhuangs in the "Zhuangs' history case" of the literary inquisition in the Qing Dynasty also lived here. After the case, their houses were destroyed, and the Liu family built "Ti Hao" on the former site.
