Return Garden
To the south of the return hall is the return garden, which is adjacent to each other. The garden was built in 1983 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Jimei school by Mr. Tan Kah kee. It covers an area of 9300 square meters. It's a park in Xiamen.
From the South Gate of the return hall to the return garden, there is a Dacheng paved with granite slabs. On both sides are potted plants, lamp posts and green cypresses. The rows are symmetrical, neat and elegant. In the middle of the north end of the garden, a stone screen is erected. It is paved with irregular shaped stones such as square, rhombus, ladder, fan and triangle. It is 3 meters high and 7 meters wide. It is inlaid with Chairman Mao Zedong's eight character summary of Tan Kah Kee's life achievements“ The flag of overseas Chinese, the glory of the nation. The vertical bronze statue of Tan Kah Kee stands in front of the stone screen. The bronze statue was created by Pan he, a famous sculptor in China. It is 2.3 meters high and 0.6 meters high. The bronze statue stands in front of the hall of return, with a hat in the left hand and a staff in the right. It looks forward to the return of overseas relatives with deep and kind eyes.
