Foeryan Buddha
In Donglian town of Weiyuan County in the west of Neijiang City, there is the largest Buddha station in the west of China. It is the foeryan Buddha.
Built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, fueryan Buddha is a standing Buddha carved by a craftsman on a steep cliff. It is 11.82 meters tall and has a history of more than 1200 years. It is said that foeryan Buddha and Rongxian Buddha are brothers. Rongxian Buddha is the elder brother, and foeryan Buddha is the second North, so it is also called the Second Buddha. Leshan Buddha is their cousin. Since the 1980s, fueryan Buddha has become the development place of religion, cultural relics and tourism in Weiyuan County. It is the key cultural relic protection unit of Weiyuan County and the religious activity place of Neijiang, Zigong and Weiyuan surrounding cities and counties. Tourists come here every year. Especially in recent years, every golden week and Guanyin temple fair, there are cars and people here Such as mountains and seas, boiling again. Foeryan Giant Buddha Scenic spot view has been developed into a comprehensive tourist reception service place integrating sightseeing, leisure vacation, entertainment fishing and holding meetings, with an annual reception of 100000 tourists. Transportation route: fueryan Buddha is located next to neiwei highway. Tourists from Neijiang and Zigong can take the bus from Neijiang to Weiyuan, and transfer to the bus from Weiyuan to Huachang on Huachang Sanlu of neiwei highway.
