Baiyupao Wetland Park is located 500 meters north of baiyutun, Juyuan Town, Daowai District, 25 kilometers away from the urban area, covering an area of 2.4 million square meters. It is the closest and most well protected original reed wetland to Harbin. This bubble is low-lying and is formed by rainwater from surrounding slope farmland. There is wetland landform in the bubble, with water accumulated all the year round. The water depth can reach 3 meters during the wet season. Besides the rainwater collection in summer, there is a self spraying spring in the region, which is not frozen in winter.

Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, is located 500 meters to the north of baiyutun, Juyuan Town, Daowai District, Harbin city. The wetland park is low-lying with an average altitude of 117m. It is 3.0KM away from Songhua Jiangnan dyke in the north. The middle part of the park is Lake bubble with an average water depth of 1.0-1.5m. The lake is full of reed, cattail and other aquatic plants. It is surrounded by paddy fields and fish ponds, and there is a flat land in the north. The lake water replenishment mainly consists of self sprinkling spring and precipitation collection around. Two ditches collect rainwater from all around, and there is a ditch connected with Songhua River in the north, which plays the role of drainage.

The water cycle is not active, which is mainly controlled by the continental air mass. The precipitation is rare, the climate is arid, the annual and daily temperature ranges are large, and the weather is myriad; the northerly wind is prevailing in winter, cold and dry; the southeastern wind is prevailing in summer, warm and humid; the spring temperature increases rapidly, and the autumn temperature decreases rapidly; The annual average temperature is 3.5 ℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 36.4 ℃, the extreme * minimum temperature is - 38.1 ℃, the annual frost free period is 124d, the effective accumulated temperature is 2700-2800 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 523.30mm, and the annual average wind speed is 4.1s/m.

The soil types of wetland park include albic soil, dark brown soil, black soil, meadow soil, swamp soil, peat soil, paddy soil and so on. Meadow soil is mainly distributed in alluvial plains on both sides of rivers, while swamp soil and peat soil are mainly distributed in low-lying areas, areas with high groundwater level and long-term surface water accumulation. The soil is rich in nutrients and is a natural organic fertilizer.

Baiyupao National Wetland Park covers an area of 160 hectares. In the park, more than 90% of the wetlands are marshes, 90% of the reeds cover the water surface in the middle of the wetland, and there are 50 hectares of reed marshes. Paozhong is rich in 14 kinds of fish, such as silver carp and wheatfish, as well as 18 kinds of birds, such as wild crane and waterfowl. Among them, it has become a green eco-tourism park integrating crane watching, reed watching, fishing and picking.

A total of 122 species of birds belonging to 35 families and 15 orders were recorded in the wetland park. Among them, 58 species of non Passeriformes are 14 orders, 17 families, accounting for 48% of the total birds in the region; 64 species of Passeriformes are 18 families, accounting for 52%. Among the non Passeriformes, there are 34 species in anserina and falciformes, accounting for 63% of Passeriformes. Passeriformes are mainly family titidae and finches, with a total of 45 species, accounting for 68% of the total number of Passeriformes. Among the birds surveyed, the dominant species were mallard, red billed diving duck, needle tailed sand cone, river gull, white fronted tern, Desheng, quque, jinyaoyan and crested pheasant.
Mammal wildlife
There are 20 species of mammals in 9 families and 4 orders in baiyupao Wetland Park. The park is close to the residential area, and human activities are frequent. In addition to the serious poaching phenomenon, a large number of rodents and a small number of small mammals can be seen in the park, and no other large mammals can be seen in the park. Rodents account for 61% of all lactation species. Muskrat, Apodemus agrarius, Rattus norvegicus and Mus musculus are the dominant species.
Two reptiles
There are 5 species of 2 orders, 3 families in Wetland Park. They mainly live in swamps, meadows and waters. Among them, Hynobius davidianus, Rana amurensis and Agkistrodon halys are the dominant species in Wetland Park, which have important economic and ecological values; Bufo gargarizans, Bufo gargarizans, Rana hybrida, Rana nigromaculata and Elaphe bungeana are widely distributed species.
Fish:
In the middle of the Wetland Park, there is a lake bubble, with an average water depth of 1.0-1.5m. The bottom of the lake is flat and basically free of obstacles. The lake is surrounded by farmland and meadow with poor vegetation. However, due to the good soil quality, there are a large number of subcontinental plants and aquatic vascular plants in the coastal zone and shallow water area. There are 28 species of fishes in 8 families of 4 orders, among which Cyprinus is the most, accounting for 64.5% of the fish species. Silver carp, grass, black carp and so on, accounting for 16.13% of the total number of fish.

Baiyupao Wetland Park was established in 2005;
In 2008, baiyupao Wetland Park was approved as a national wetland park by the State Forestry Administration, and the scenic spot was rated as AAA tourist attraction;
In 2009, it was rated as National Water Conservancy Scenic spot;
In 2010, baiyupao National Wetland Park was rated as the ecological civilization education base of Heilongjiang Province;
In 2013, the scenic spot was rated as AAAA scenic spot.

Wetland park management area includes entrance management service area and wetland protection publicity corridor; wetland conservation area includes wetland key protection area and wetland scientific research monitoring area; Wetland Science Park is divided into Wetland zoo, wetland landscape viewing, wetland bird viewing and wetland protection knowledge corridor according to the theme; wetland protection and utilization demonstration area includes wetland restoration area, bird habitat protection area and wetland research monitoring area The wetland tourism development zone includes fish pond fishing, lotus pond picking and water recreation. Among them, the wetland key protection area, with an area of 67 hectares, is the first-class protection area of the wetland park.
