Shijiazhuang museum is located at 65 Jianshe North Street, Shijiazhuang city. The museum opened on the 44th anniversary of the liberation of Shijiazhuang on November 12, 1991, with a construction area of 6292 square meters. It has five exhibition halls of 2519 square meters, a multi-functional hall, a cultural relics library, a lecture hall, and 40 staff members, including 16 professional and technical personnel. It has two departments, namely, the cultural relics department, the art department, the security department, and the office. It is responsible for the research, protection, management, collection, collection and management of cultural relics in the city Exhibition work. There are 8152 pieces of cultural relics in the collection, 240 pieces of first-class and second-class cultural relics. Shijiazhuang museum building is divided into three floors with seven exhibition halls. The first floor is the office area, cultural relics preservation area, agricultural and folk exhibition hall, and the second floor is 201, 202, 203, 204 temporary exhibition hall. On the third floor, there are Shijiazhuang historical and cultural exhibition and Shijiazhuang historical development achievement exhibition. The exhibition hall covers an area of 2890 square meters.

As of August 2019, Shijiazhuang Museum has a collection of 150000 cultural relics and specimens, including 321 first-class cultural relics (including 6 national treasures). The collection can be divided into three parts: ancient cultural relics, modern cultural relics and modern cultural relics according to the times, and then classified according to the quality. Among them, the number of ancient cultural relics is the largest. The museum also has a library with more than 50000 books and 20000 photos. The sources of the museum's collections are special and legendary. They were collected by the central authorities, the Shanxi Hebei Shandong Henan border region government and the Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region government during the eight year Anti Japanese War and the three year liberation war.
