In 1981, it was changed to xiaoyangqi town according to the station name. Xiaoyangqi town is the residence of Songling district (bureau). There are four cement highways, 15 sand and stone roads, 201 fire prevention tunnels, and the straight and wide Songling street runs east-west, which is located in the center of xiaoyangqi town. Xiaoyangqi town is the political, economic, cultural and material supply center of Songling district. There are four sub district offices, 20 residents committees, 2 police stations and 15476 people in the town (2017). Most of the ethnic groups are Han nationality, and there are Hui, Mongolian, Manchu, Oroqen, Ewenki, Korean, Xipo, Daur and other ethnic minorities.
