After 21 years of hard work, Hancunhe has undergone earth shaking changes and has risen to be a bright new star in the North China Plain. With the development of collective economy, the villagers' life has been fundamentally improved. All kinds of modern daily necessities are available in the villagers' homes. The traditional production and life styles of "work at sunrise, rest at sunset" and "face the loess, back to the sky" have been replaced by the rural urban life full of modern flavor.

In the village, 518 villas with different styles and 21 multi-storey residential buildings have been built. The streets and alleys in the village have been built into concrete roads, and the supporting municipal facilities such as sewage, rainwater, heating, closed-circuit television and telephone have been improved. It also built the first post office, program-controlled telephone branch office, high standard public baths and high-grade public toilets.
