Taichung Prefecture Hall
Taichung Prefecture Office is a municipal historic site in Taichung City, Taiwan Province. It was built during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. At that time, it served as the general office of Taichung Prefecture, the administrative region of Taiwan. It started construction in 1912 and completed the first phase in 1913. After four times of expansion, it completed the current scale in 1934. It is now the office of Taichung Municipal government.

At present, Taichung Municipal government is planning to move the existing site to the new Municipal Center. After the completion of the new Municipal Center, Taichung Municipal government will move to the new Municipal Center. However, the Taichung Municipal government will strive to change the Taichung state hall into the Taichung Branch of the National Palace Museum.
