Wansong temple is located in Panshan scenic spot, Jixian County, Tianjin city, formerly known as "Li Jing'an". Li Jing, a famous general in the early Tang Dynasty, once lived here, so it was named. Song Luo, a poet in the early Qing Dynasty, thought that the former sages should not call him by his own name, and changed his name to "Wei gong'an". During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed "Wansong Temple", which is still in use today. In Wanli, Chongzhen and Kangxi periods of the Ming Dynasty, it was expanded and rebuilt. During the Anti Japanese War, the 13th regiment of Jidong army was stationed here. It was destroyed by the Japanese army in 1942, but all the stone foundations of the Buddhist temple and the "rebuilding the monument of lijing'an" are still well preserved. Restored in 1985, the main hall and the auricular chamber have taken on a new look.
Wansong temple is the largest temple in Panshan Temple group. In front of the Mountain Gate of Wansong temple stands a huge camel shaped stone with "famous mountains and ancient temples" engraved on the front and eight poems written by Emperor Qianlong on the back. Among them, "Wansong Temple" is still clear: "Tianpan is good everywhere, Wansong is my heart. The temple tower sits in the sky, and the sounds of nature are natural and unrestrained. " On the wall beside the mountain gate, there are five square stones, each two feet square, engraved with the five characters of "the first mountain in East Beijing".
Outside the mountain gate, there are several small halls in a group. The largest is Maitreya hall, which is dedicated to Maitreya Bodhisattva. Next to it, there are four heavenly kings. On the rear facade, there is a statue of Weituo in the north. From the mountain gate up the stairs is a building, five Ying two-story building, north, and the main hall opposite. Therefore, there are only a few small windows on the sunny side of the building. Building Yin for the right, Diaolianghuadong, resplendent, under the eaves hanging "pan a jingshe" a small plaque. Next up is the Pilu hall. A huge plaque of "Wansong Temple" is hung under the corridor, and a couplet of "a single stone cloud peeps at the color, a clear pool's bright eyes shine on the Zen heart" is hung on the front column of the corridor. The pen power is strong and the structure is beautiful. There is a Bell Pavilion in the east of the hall, with a big bell hanging inside. It has a diameter of three feet. The bell sounds deep and deep. It resonates in the valley and can be heard several miles away. Then there is the thousand Buddha Hall. There is a bronze statue of Sakyamuni, which is more than six feet high. Then there is an inverted Avalokitesvara, surrounded by eighteen clay Arhats. There are countless bronze Buddhas on the table, large or small, with exquisite workmanship. There is a beautiful statue of Avalokitesvara in the hall. The thousand Buddha Hall got its name from this. In addition, there are ancestral hall and luzu hall. There is a platform on the Northwest Mountain top of the ancestral hall, namely Li Jing sword platform. "The stone is the strongest, with Tang General Li Congjian visiting Li Jing's sword dance platform. In front of the temple, there is a pagoda of Zen master Taiping, with brick body and three layers of six corners. There are false doors at the front and back, and 18 false windows on the other four sides. The six corners on the first floor are embedded with five storey towers. Eleven animal and flower reliefs are embedded in the tower base, and there are carved guardrails on the reliefs. A pine tree grows on the top of the tower, which is very interesting.

Wanghailou site
In the east of Wansong temple, there is the site of Wanghai tower. From the broad building foundation and huge stone foundation, we can see the scale of the past. The building is three stories high. When you climb the building and look into the distance, you can see the sea atmosphere. Wanghai Tower East Cliff, there is a pine from the cliff edge flying across, such as Phoenix wings, name "Fengqiao pine". In the north of Wanghai tower, there is the tomb of master Puzhao and the tower of master Puzhao. In front of the tower, there are two stone steles. One is the stele of master Puzhao Xingshi, which was written by Zhipu in the mid autumn of the 23rd year of Kangxi, and the other is the stele of connecting the past and the future, which was set up in the 16th year of Daoguang, recording the environment and history of Wansong temple.
