Fengbi Chaoyang, so the villagers chose to live in the east or southeast of Fenggang, praying for the continuous development of the village and the better life of the people.
Brief introduction
Licha ancient village has a history of more than 700 years. It is located beside Zhaojiang highway in Huilong Town, Gaoyao City, and is close to Guangxin agricultural ecological park. The ancient village of Licha is in the shape of eight trigrams with exquisite layout, which hides the mystery of Luoshu River map. The eight basic figures of Zhouyi, an important classic of Chinese ancient Confucianism, which discusses the changes of everything, are also called eight trigrams, that is, the symbol shape of "-" and "--", and the house is built on a small hill called Fenggang in the shape of Phoenix. These houses are built close to mountains and surrounded by water. They are arranged in the form of hexagrams such as Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen and DUI. They are distributed in a circle, one by one, one by one. They are full of mystery and unique in style. The whole ancient village is in the shape of a large enclosed house. The distribution of ancient houses and village roads looks like the eight trigrams circle. The surrounding area is surrounded by a round pond to protect the village and a road around the village. There are only two North and South exits to connect with the outside land. It also has the typical characteristics of Jiangnan Water Town.
Jiuli Yifang
When you stroll along the road around the village, you can really feel that the whole ancient village is round, and you can see 10 simple and elegant gatehouses. Each gate tower represents a square, that is, a clan. Each gatehouse is named after the benevolence thought in Confucian culture, which is renheli, suiyuanli, xingrenli, chunheli, shangrenli, Juheli, roushunli, yuxiuli, renhuali and suidefang, commonly known as "jiuliyifang".
There are 10 pairs of mahogany carvings on the 10 gatehouses of "nine Li and one square". The couplets, which are highly valuable in calligraphy and embody the profound connotation of benevolence in Confucian culture, give people enlightenment.
If you walk into one of the gatehouses and stroll in the narrow and tortuous lane, you will always feel lost. The narrow and long ancient alleys seem to be connected, but they have come to an end. In the maze, when you suddenly see carved beams and painted buildings, simple and primitive old houses, ancestral halls, and hundreds of years of gray murals, you will be surprised by the extraordinary wisdom of the ancients, and you will realize the good intentions of the ancient village sages to educate future generations with the Confucian culture essence of "benevolence is beauty, how can we know if we choose benevolence".
It's good to live in a place with benevolent atmosphere. How can we say it's wise to choose a residence rather than a place with benevolent atmosphere? Just think about it, the reason that the ancestors of Licha ancient village educated their descendants to live and work in peace and contentment and to be a man with Confucius' ideas is actually the most superficial and practical one.
Historical precipitation
It is said that the ancient village of Licha was opened by people surnamed Zhou at the beginning. It was originally called "Zhouzhuang" because it was surrounded by water on all sides and had typical characteristics of Jiangnan Water Town.
During the Jiading period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1218-1224) and the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1403-1424), two clansmen, surnamed Su and surnamed Cai, moved to the village from Zhuji lane, Nanxiong, respectively. Su and Cai began to live in the low-lying areas of the village. Because there were no water conservancy facilities at that time, the low-lying areas were often flooded, so they built their houses on the small hills in the village one after another. The shape of the small hill is similar to a beautiful little Phoenix, so it is also called "Fenggang". The villagers of Su and CAI, who studied Confucian culture and geomantic omen of the Zhouyi Dynasty, chose to live in the east or southeast of Fenggang to pray for the prosperity of their clansmen
When they built houses, they built them according to the shape of the eight trigrams. The distribution of houses and village roads looked like the shape of the eight trigrams. The whole village is in the shape of a large enclosed house with exquisite and mysterious layout. The villagers' wish is that the village will be like the eight trigrams. Taiji will give birth to Liangyi, Liangyi will give birth to Sixiang, Sixiang will give birth to the eight trigrams, and then the eight eight and sixty-four trigrams, and finally they will live forever Su people live in the Northeast near Zhou, and Cai people live in the northwest near su. From then on, the population of the Su and Cai ethnic groups continued to increase, while that of the Zhou ethnic group became less and less. Later, the surname Su inherited all the property of the surname Zhou, forming the present situation that the surname Su was in the East and the surname CAI was in the West in Licha village. The name of Zhouzhuang was also replaced by Licha village.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the imperial court carried out a lot of policies and decrees to promote the development of production, and carried out large-scale dike construction projects, which promoted the development of economy and culture. The level of local productivity continued to improve, and the population also increased. At that time, Licha village, like other villages in Xijiang area, began to strengthen, update and develop water conservancy facilities. At the same time, there are many villagers in Licha village who pack their dreams in bags and go abroad to make a living with the spirit of hard work and outward development of their ancestors. They survived and developed overseas by virtue of their ancestors' experience of moving thousands of miles and their tenacity handed down from generation to generation. In the middle and late Qing Dynasty, they returned home to build houses one after another. Due to the large number of people returning home from abroad to build houses, Licha village was naturally called "overseas Chinese village" by the local people.
Walking into the ancient village of Licha, you can see the blue brick houses and exquisite and simple gatehouses wandering in the narrow, long, winding, winding alleys. Your mind seems to go back to the long years. It seems to see the misty time sequence, the villagers who are living in groups, the villagers who are careful to pursue the future, and the villagers who are hidden If you have a sharp, angular face
Legend of the name
The ancient village of Licha was originally inhabited by people of the Zhou surname. Because it has the characteristics of water villages in the south of the Yangtze River, it was named "Zhouzhuang" when people of the Zhou surname lived. Jiading period of Southern Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty
During the reign of Yongle, the Su and Cai clansmen moved from Zhuji Lane in Nanxiong to Zhouzhuang. In the beginning, Su and Cai people chose to live in low-lying areas, but after years of floods, their houses were often flooded. After careful calculation and measurement, they speculated about the changes of nature and society from the eight natural phenomena of heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain and swamp. They took the eight basic figures of Zhouyi, also known as the eight trigrams, the symbol shapes of "-" and "-" as examples to describe the changes of buildings It was built on a phoenix shaped hill called Fenggang. These houses are built close to the mountains and surrounded by water. They are arranged in the form of Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen and Dui hexagrams. They are distributed in a circle. They are row by row and circle by circle. They hide the mystery, frighten evil, balance Yin and Yang, and make heaven and man in one. As time goes by, the number of people surnamed Zhou is getting smaller and smaller, and gradually lost, while the number of people surnamed Su and CAI is growing. Seeing that Fenggang was surrounded by water, the patriarchs of Su and Cai decided to change the name of the village "Zhouzhuang" to "Licha" because they built a strip-shaped house in the shape of eight trigrams and floated on the water like a raft. "Li" means "numerous", and "Cha" means "rafts made of bamboo", while "Licha" means "numerous rafts". Why are there frequent floods in Licha village? This is related to the name of Huilong town. There is a touching love story.
It is said that the song long river in Huilong town was originally garrisoned with a brave dragon and a beautiful Phoenix. They have deep feelings, and the dragon, Phoenix and Luan sing to protect Huilong, making the local water, soil, wind and rain smooth, and the people live and work in peace and contentment. Later, because of a small misunderstanding, Phoenix took advantage of Jiaolong to go to heaven to help the people and quietly left, never to return. Jiaolong thought about the Phoenix day and night, worried about it, and satisfied the pain of Acacia. One day, Jiaolong finally couldn't bear the suffering of Acacia. With a long cry, he ignored his duty to protect the soil and water and all living beings, looking for the beautiful Phoenix.
After the Dragon left, an evil dragon who had been waiting on the plane for a long time sneaked into the Songlong River to live in seclusion. The evil dragon leaps up and down in the Songlong river. It turns waves and waves. Suddenly, the waves beat on the bank, and the fields and houses on the bank are flooded
The people suffered so much that they came to the Dragon King Temple to pray for the dragon's return and surrender to the evil dragon. The piety of the people finally moved the beautiful and kind Phoenix. Fenghuang and Jiaolong meet to settle the past and return to Songlong river.
Jiaolong and iniquitous dragon meet and start a soul stirring fight. For a time, the river turned over, the mountains rocked, the white waves emptied, and the waves cracked the bank. At the end of the three hundred rounds of the war, the evil dragon screamed and died under the dragon's claws. After eliminating harm for the people, Jiaolong and Fenghuang are determined to stay together in songlonghe and protect the local people all their lives. As a result, Jiaolong became an ancient mountain range, while Fenghuang became a phoenix shaped hill, which was Fenggang in Licha ancient village. Since then, longfengchengxiang, local weather, rich people, people live and work in peace and contentment. In order to let future generations remember the contributions of Jiaolong and Fenghuang, the people called xiaoshangang Fenggang, and the local town name was changed to Huilong Town, which means Jiaolong came back to eliminate evil.
