Wenjiang Park, formerly known as Liucheng Park, is a large modern garden park integrating leisure, entertainment and cultural taste in Wenjiang District. The qiqujiang river is long, with a hundred mu of clear willows. In the park, there is a memorial hall of Mr. Wang Guangqi, a famous musician in modern China, and a Guangqi Music Square as the main body.

Wenjiang

Wenjiang was the territory of Yufu kingdom in ancient Shu more than 4000 years ago. Because Yufu King built the capital, he ordered the planting of willows as a national boundary. Yangliuyiyi, the ancient capital of Yufu, is known as "Liucheng" (now the Yufu city site in the north of Wenjiang city). After Yufu's subjugation, Yufu city still welcomed spring with thousands of willows every year. In Sui Dynasty, Wanchun county was built, which was called Liucheng by the people. Due to the migration of waterways, the county moved to the south, which is now Liucheng. In Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Wenjiang. The custom of planting willows is very popular in the county. The last large-scale planting of willows was in the overhaul period of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty. More than 700 willows were planted along the embankment of HaoGou around the city. The reputation of Liucheng has been spread for 4000 years. In the early 1980s, Wenjiang area was merged into Chengdu City, so Wenjiang became a county under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City. At the beginning of this century, the county was removed and built into a district. Located in Chengdu Plain, Wenjiang has always been one of the rich places in Sichuan Province. It is known as "jinwenjiang" and enjoys the reputation of "world garden city".

Wenjiang park is located in Wenjiang Jiang Jiang'an River, with a total area of 280 mu, half water and half land. The park has elegant facilities, rippling blue waves, beautiful flowers, towering trees, novel layout of pavilions and pavilions, strong charm of bridges, corridors and waterside pavilions, melodious silk and bamboos of Guangqi music square and Colorful streamers. The ancient Yufu culture and modern ecological garden are integrated into one, and together with many scenic spots around Wenjiang, it constitutes a unique tourism landscape in Western Sichuan plain.

Bounded by Jiang'an River, the park is divided into dynamic and static areas, connected by Baiguan bridge, Qiqu bridge, Yinghui bridge, Lianjiang bridge and Liubin bridge.

The activity area is mainly composed of welcome square, Guangqi music square, catering and entertainment area and children's Park. In the middle of the zone is diaoguangqi music square, covering an area of more than 8000 square meters. The center of the square is a music fountain stage, which extends southward in a fan-shaped layout. The fourteen bronze seven tone pillars on the stage echo the five tone pillars of Chinese ancient music on the platform facing the water in the south of the square. Through three circles of different sizes with the center in the same straight line, they are connected together through a winding stream, which fully reflects the wish of Mr. Wang Guangqi, a famous Chinese musician, to perfectly integrate Chinese and western music culture.

The quiet and elegant style of the south bank quiet area is highlighted. The vegetation in the scenic area is mainly Ginkgo biloba, Cinnamomum camphora, willow, Phoebe, flowers and lawns, and Nanxi River runs through it. Baiguanshan, the easternmost part of the scenic spot, is the highest point of the park. The range rover Pavilion on the top of the mountain has a wide view and a panoramic view of the park. Especially, Wenjiang park is brightly lit at night, just like stars. At the foot of the mountain, baiguanting is built along the river, and the ecological embankment along the river, especially showing green mountains and green water. The sports lawn in the scenic area is covered with green grass and decorated with Yiran Pavilion and Ningxiang Pavilion. Visitors can enjoy themselves. The garden beside the lawn is full of flowers, fragrant all the year round; Zhiyuan building is built along the river, where tourists enjoy tea and scenery

Wenjiang park is located in the southeast corner of Wenjiang Liucheng, Jiangan River, is a comprehensive open landscape park. After reconstruction in 2001, the area was expanded to more than 300 mu, with half water and half land. There are 34 scenic spots including pavilions, platforms, buildings and pavilions.
