Naiqin kangsang snow mountain
Naiqinkangsang snow mountain is one of the four sacred mountains in Tibet. It is located beside 317 provincial road at the junction of Langka county and Jiangzi County, Tibet, with an altitude of 7191 meters.
Due to the high cold, the top of the mountain has a sharp cone, and all the year round, it is surrounded by white clouds and scattered with grains of snow. All the year round, it accumulates and compacts, forming a 20-100m thick ice layer. Affected by its own gravity, the ice layer slowly moves and develops into a number of glaciers. Karola glacier is at the foot of naiqinkangsang snow mountain, at the junction of langjiaer county and Jiangzi County, just beside the highway. The snow-white glacier is like a giant Thangka hanging on the mountain wall, shining in the sunshine. The melting water of Karola glacier is the Eastern source of Nianchu River, an important tributary in the upper reaches of Yajiang river. Due to climate warming, the Karola glacier is slowly retreating. According to the guide, when she led the group a few years ago, the glacier was still at the foot of the mountain, and now it is on the hillside
