brief introduction
Boao has the only sea spectacle in Asia, and Boao oriental culture garden is a mirage that can be touched.
Boao is the estuary where the three rivers meet. It is the only ecological and geographical miracle in Asia and the world, with eight geographical features, namely, river, lake, sea, mountain, ridge, spring and island. As long as you enter the "Boao Oriental Culture Garden", you can have a panoramic view of the eight landscapes.
"Boao Oriental Culture Garden" also shows you two miracles of life in the world of plants: a myth of lotus that never dies for a thousand years, and a legendary lotus that blooms all the year round.
Oriental culture garden is the cultural symbol of Boao and the best scenic spot for understanding the human geography of Hainan.
Boao temple is the continuation and development of Hainan's Buddhist history. In 748 ad, the eminent monk Tang Jianzhen traveled to Japan and drifted to Hainan in the wind. He lived in Hainan for one and a half years. He built Buddhist temples on the island and began to spread Buddhist culture. The ancient town of Boao, located on the east coast of Hainan Island, has left many Buddhist historical sites and legends of Guanyin.
In October 2000, Mr. Jiang Xiaosong, vice chairman of Boao Forum for Asia, President of Xiaoao group and founder of Boao water city, personally funded a 9.9-meter-high statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva on the lotus pier in Wanquan River. At the end of 2002, Mr. Jiang donated another 5 million yuan to build the "Boao Oriental Culture Garden" with Boao temple as the main body. In March 2005, the first phase of the master plan, the Boao temple and the oriental culture theme park, was completed and opened to the public.
With the approval of the State Bureau of religious affairs, monk Shenghui, executive vice president of China Buddhist Association, became the abbot of Boao temple.
delicious food
Sufangzhai of Lianhua Temple
The opening up of sufangzhai not only adds new Chinese cultural connotation to the scenic spot, but also improves the catering service facilities of Boao tourism, which is convenient for tourists. It has laid a foundation for attracting more tourists to Boao.
Cultural garden sufangzhai originated from Buddhist temple vegetarian. When the believers burn incense and worship Buddha, they also taste the vegetarian food in the temple, which becomes a icing on the cake lesson. Eat vegetables, generally first on cold dishes, such as mixed cucumber, mixed bamboo shoots, mixed radish and so on. And then on the main dish, mushroom gluten, mushroom heart, assorted tofu is indispensable. There is also a luohanquanzhai. Nostoc flagelliforme, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, plain chicken, fresh mushrooms, golden needle, fungus, cooked chestnut, ginkgo, cauliflower, carrots, etc. are stewed in a casserole. The taste is very rich. Although it is a popular menu, its delicacy is not inferior to the fish and meat feast in the world. What's more interesting is that many vegetarian dishes, such as vegetarian chicken, duck, fish and ham, are hard to tell the true from the false by the naked eye. You have to taste them by yourself. Although it is a fake, it has a different taste than the real one.
