The temple in Langmusi town in Sichuan Province is called "gerdi Temple". Gerdi temple has the body and spirit of the fifth living Buddha gerden who has experienced more than 300 years and can be viewed from a close distance. Most of the geerdi temples in Sichuan are simple, with silver roofs. Because of their low terrain, they are almost mixed with the folk houses in the town. Behind the temple is the namo gorge, and the source of the Bailong River is in the gorge. There are arguments between 13:00-3:00 and 17:30-21:00, which is worth seeing.
Geldi Temple
Geldi temple is a small town under the jurisdiction of Luqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. A stream runs through the East and West. Although it is less than two meters wide, it has a powerful Name: Bailong River. The North Bank of the stream is Langmu temple, and the south bank belongs to Ruoergai County, Sichuan Province. The "andodacang Langmu Temple" in Gansu Province and the "geerdi Temple" in Sichuan Province watch each other across the stream.
Relevant information
The boundary of a small stream connects the two provinces and integrates the two peaceful nationalities of Tibet and Hui; Lama temples and mosques exist on one side; people on both sides of the stream express their persistence in faith in different ways when they worship and bask in the Buddha. Langmu temple has two temples and two mosques. One is Sichuan Temple (as the local people call it), which is called "Da Cang namo gerdi Temple", or gerdi temple for short. It is one of the largest and most influential temples of Gelu sect in Aba area of Sichuan Province. It has 18 sub temples and about 500 monks.
Mystery and serenity are the eyes of Langmu temple. The broad and profound Tibetan Buddhist culture is the mainstream here. Throughout the year, the Buddhist names of the two monasteries facing north and South sing for a long time, and the cigarettes of "simmer mulberry" (worshiping gods and sacrificing ceremonies) curl up and fill the mountains and rivers. The magnificent Buddhist pagodas and the precipitous and elegant minarets of mosques sit side by side under the blue sky of the town. Its charm reminds people of the legendary Shangri La, and makes people feel the tolerance and humility of Buddhist culture and the application of two religious cultures in secular life Seeking common ground while reserving differences. Geldi temple is well-known in Tibetan area for its body pagoda of the fifth living Buddha. It is said that it is the only one with the body of the living Buddha in all Tibetan Buddhist temples, while only the relic of the Buddha's bone is offered in all other Tibetan Buddhist temples. The body pagoda is dedicated to a small courtyard on the top of the mountain. It looks very plain, just like the courtyard of an ordinary house. There are people worshiping at the gate of the courtyard, and there are also many people in the courtyard who are turning the Scriptures. One worship and one turn is a day. The body pagoda of the fifth living Buddha in the middle hall has a history of 300 years. Behind the glass cover in the middle of the pagoda, I saw a person's face plated with gold powder. It was very solemn. It was the body. The monk who guarded the pagoda told me that next to the pagoda are the seventh and eighth living Buddha pagodas, which were also flesh bodies. Unfortunately, they were destroyed in the cultural revolution. Next to the entrance of the geldi temple, there is a mosque. The gate is bright and colorful, and the tower has double eaves and green tiles. The distance between the mosque and the Buddhist sutra hall is very close, but the style is very different, with a huge contrast.
There were many rare treasures in the gerdi temple in Sichuan, most of which were destroyed during the cultural revolution. There is a precious treasure, the body and spirit of the fifth gerdi living Buddha. The fifth living Buddha was born in 1681 and died in 1775. He was 94 years old. During the cultural revolution, the spirit body was transported to Ruoergai County, which was found by several believers and buried in Dalonggou mountain. When it was dug out again in 1981, the bones and flesh were still elastic without any damage. Later, please go back to the geerdi temple, which has been used in the Golden Hall of the temple. Before the people's reform, the body and spirit had naturally grown hair. The eminent monks in the temple had their hair cut once, and never grew again. After more than 300 years of ups and downs, the real body of gold powder plastering is still vivid, which makes tourists at home and abroad marvel. The phenomenon of human life is the most mysterious and hard to see phenomenon in the whole world. The body Dharma of the fifth living Buddha is admired and worshipped by many people who pursue science and life.
Located more than 300 meters northwest of saichi temple, the sky burial platform of Langmu temple is one of the largest sky burial platforms in Anduo area. It has a history of more than 400 years. It is like a Book of heaven, which makes tourists all over the world feel excited to read. On the top of the mountain, there are various colors of Mani Sutra flags, and groups of vultures hovering. They are the embodiment of the gods in the hearts of the Tibetan people. The sky burial ground, where the birds sing, is not as gloomy and terrifying as expected. Here, death not only means the end, but also a new beginning, with the meaning of rebirth and detachment. It is the last return of religious people in Tibetan areas. They use the specific way of sky burial to present the law of human returning to nature. In recent years, the unique Tibetan funeral culture has attracted thousands of tourists to visit here.
Religious atmosphere
Geerdi Temple community in Sichuan Province and saichi Temple community in Langmu temple in Gansu Province are facing each other across the river. The sound of the FA drum is corresponding to each other, and the sound of the conch is corresponding to each other. This mysterious area is always covered with a strong religious atmosphere.
legend
There is a beautiful legend about the origin of the name of "Dacang Langmu Temple". "Dacang" means "tiger cave", and "Langmu" or "namo" means fairy. "Tiger cave Fairy" is a famous landscape in Langmusi Town, located in a cave at the source of Bailong River in Sichuan Province. It is said that there was a tiger living in this cave. It is said that master lianhuasheng came here to subdue the demon, tame the tiger, and teach Buddhism, so that the tiger became a kind fairy incarnation. There are naturally formed stalactites in the cave, and people have to bend down to get in. The cave is wide enough for people to stand up and walk. At the top of the cave, you can clearly see a stalactite, which is like a sitting goddess. The Tibetans regard her as a goddess who protects the living beings and relieves the disease for the people. They often kowtow and kneel down to pray for peace. Local people also like to wash their hair with water dripping from stalactite, wash their children's faces, and rub back and forth on a smooth and bright stone next to their belly. It is said that this can eliminate disasters and diseases, especially gastrointestinal diseases.
