School history

Tianshui Gongdu Normal College

In 1959, Tianshui Normal College was founded in yuquanguan, Tianshui city.

In 1959 and 1960, 328 students from 8 classes of Chinese, mathematics, physics, biochemistry and Russian Majors were recruited.

In June 1961, the school moved from yuquanguan to No. 45, Changkai Road, Qincheng district.

In 1962, Tianshui teachers' college was transformed into Tianshui teachers' training college. It stopped recruiting junior college classes and trained middle school teachers and primary school administrative leaders in Tianshui and Wudu.

In June 1966, Tianshui teachers training college was renamed Tianshui Gongdu normal college. After the beginning of the cultural revolution, enrollment was stopped.

At the beginning of 1969, it merged with Tianshui Normal School and Tianshui health school to form the May 7th red college in Tianshui.

 

Tianshui Normal School

In 1961, Tianshui Normal School of Gansu Province ran independently.

At the beginning of 1969, Tianshui Gongdu normal college and Tianshui health school merged into Tianshui May 7th red college.

 

Tianshui District Health School

In 1958, Tianshui district health school was founded.

In 1969, Tianshui district health school was renamed Tianshui district health school.

At the beginning of 1969, Tianshui Gongdu normal college and Tianshui Normal School were merged into Tianshui May 7th red college.

 

Tianshui May 7th red College

At the beginning of 1969, Tianshui Revolutionary Committee merged Tianshui Gongdu normal college, Tianshui Normal School and Tianshui health school into Tianshui May 7th red college.

In 1972, the May 7th red college in Tianshui district was abolished, and the normal school was transformed into Tianshui Normal College, and the former Tianshui health school was transformed into Tianshui health school.

Tianshui Teachers College

In 1977, Tianshui Normal School was founded. The college entrance examination system was restored, with two undergraduate classes of Chinese and Mathematics (transferred to Gansu Normal University after two years of study) and three specialized classes of physics, chemistry and physical education.

In 1979, with the approval of the State Council, Tianshui Normal School and Tianshui Normal School (junior college) were merged to form Tianshui Normal College, which is a two-year junior college and is led by the Provincial Department of education.

 

In 1988, he was awarded by the State Education Commission for "training qualified teachers for basic education with clear direction and remarkable achievements".

In July 1992, with the approval of the State Education Commission, it was renamed Tianshui teachers college.

 

Tianshui Industrial School

In 1985, Tianshui Industrial school was founded.

In 1995, Tianshui polytechnic school was merged into Tianshui teachers college.

 

Tianshui Normal University

In April 2000, Tianshui Normal College was upgraded to Tianshui Normal College, and undergraduate enrollment began.

 

In May 2007, the University passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education, and the evaluation result was "good".

In October 2011, it was listed by the Ministry of education as the construction unit of the pilot work of Cultivating Master of education professional degree postgraduates.

In 2013, we began to recruit students to train master of education.

 

In July 2015, it was selected by Gansu Provincial Department of education as a pilot University for transformation and development of Applied Technology University.

Student achievement

In October 2014, students' works won the first prize in the 2014 global Chinese poetry contest.

 

In October 2015, the school team won the group second prize in the final of the third undergraduate chemistry competition in Gansu Province, one won the individual second prize, four won the individual third prize, and five won the individual prize.

 

In May 2016, the school students won the excellent shortlisted prize in the 23rd Beijing University Student Film Festival flying eagle original micro film competition.

 

In July, three students majoring in sports training were selected into the Chinese delegation of Rio Olympic Games;

From 2004 to 2008, it was awarded as the advanced unit of social practice of "three visits to the countryside" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of education, the all China Federation of students and the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League for five consecutive years.
