Hengdian Zeguo

The first landscape of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River is a stone archway with unique shape and exquisite carving. The top of the archway is full of auspicious clouds, and the back of the archway is "magnificent country". It is adjacent to the water town in the north, so it is called "Hengdian Zeguo"; it is adjacent to the old street in the south, which is called "Hengdian ancient town". It shows the antiquity of Hengdian, reproduces the hardships of Hengdian's entrepreneurship, and condenses the landscape of Jiangnan. This towering monument, written "across the world to inspire a generation of model, the shop was beautiful, the emergence of thousands of heroes.". It fully shows the latest beautiful scenery created by Hengdian people, represented by "national labor model" and Xu Wenrong, which is poetic and picturesque.

Welcome to Jinniu

When you enter the stone archway, you will first see two lying oxen. They are charmingly naive and named "Jinniu Yingbin". Lying on the back of the cow on the right side, the shepherd boy holds the rope in hand, which is vivid; lying on the cow on the left side, two brothers and sisters play on the back of the cow, which is very lovely. Long ago, there was a beautiful legend of golden buffalo in Hengdian. It is said that there is a golden buffalo hidden in the cave at the foot of Bamian Mountain. It needs a thousand year old golden rice straw rope to pull it out of the mountain to benefit the people. After thousands of years, golden buffalo still lives deep in the cave. In the contemporary era, there is an able man with extraordinary wisdom and courage. After a lot of hardships, he finally brought out the golden buffalo. So that the local people embarked on the golden road of common prosperity. This pair of Jinniu stone carvings is one of the important symbols of Jiangnan Water Town.

Jinniu Bridge

Behind "Jinniu Yingbin", a flying stone arch bridge traverses huluzhou, a city with "three islands around the water". The arch bridge, named Jinniu bridge, is very similar to the ancient Mudu bridge in Suzhou. Here "the river connects the vast Yangtze River and bridges the long ancient canal". There is a wonderful couplet on the pier: "in the early spring of the new century, Hengdian was newly built by Xu Wenrong, and the town was built by all the scholars and people in the first month of the year of Gengchen"; here, the Yunmen gate is opened, tens of thousands of Western Zhejiang rivers are bridged, and the people of the bridge are here, looking north to Yanjing for three thousand miles.

Tianze Bridge

If you cross Jinniu bridge, you'll see the busy water town. The town is surrounded by water. Here, the wine flag is facing the wind and the colorful flag is fluttering, just like the Qinhuai River in Nanjing, where the "four springs" of Qinlou chuguan are connected. There are Fuchun square, Yichun hall, Yanchun building and Lichun courtyard. In front, there is a Tianze bridge, a symbol of "paradise". There are four "bridges" in Qiaotu, namely yipinxiang, Erquan Pavilion, taoranju and Yichun Pavilion. The busy crowd is bustling during the day. Fishing Fair

Under the Tianze bridge, there are fishing fairs such as "Xinglong stack line". Every time the dawn comes, the river is rowing and the boats are gathering. On the ancient ferry, the boats were vertical and horizontal, one of which was only tied to the cable post and the nose of the boat. Several prosperous business firms are already "full of fish and shrimps, full of voices". Along the street, there is a continuous stream of merchants from the north and the south. Shuangqiao

In front of Hengchang pawnshop, there is a "double bridge" of "three steps and two bridges", which connects three places on both sides of the Strait. "Double bridges" are Qinglong bridge and Danfeng bridge, implying that the dragon and the Phoenix are auspicious. The shape of the two bridges is one arch and one flat, and the bridge opening is one circle and one side, just like the "double bridges" of Zhouzhuang. There are two interesting couplets on the pier of Qinglong bridge: "the water is green on the lips of the boat in spring, and the setting sun is red on the ferry in autumn"; and "the sky is heavy, the bird is connected with the blue bird, and the terrace on the bank is used to protect the Qinglong". Here, the river and the lake are close together, and the water transportation is busy. Whenever the spring is warm, along the river "peach blossom three or two, willow floating catkins". The bridge is full of people and the river is full of masts. Jieguan Pavilion

Across the Danfeng bridge is the Jieguan Pavilion of Nanxun ancient style.
