Suichang Qianfo Mountain Scenic Spot

Here, visitors can see all kinds of strange peaks and rocks, quiet canyons, dense trees and clear mountain springs. During the journey, the natural mountain Maitreya Buddha with a height of 300 meters, wearing green cassock and spreading arms to protect all living beings, is the first in the world. Looking at the Buddha worshipped in yan'en Hall of future temple, the eight peaks behind the hall are like the eight tribes of Tianlong guarding the Dharma Day and night. Suichang Qianfo Mountain Scenic Spot

Qianfo Mountain scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot, located in Shilian Town, Suichang County, 30 kilometers away from the county seat, with convenient transportation. According to the Guangxu edition of the Qing Dynasty (Suichang county annals), the rocks on the mountain are strange, and thousands of Buddha statues can be seen, so it is called "Thousand Buddha Mountain". In the scenic area, the canyon is quiet, the forest is dense, and the clear mountain spring passes through it, creating charming waterfalls, pools, lakes, pools, streams and other water landscape. Primeval forest, Qifeng Yishi, beautiful scenery, known as "Jiangnan small Jiuzhai.". Tang Xianzu, the magistrate of Suichang County in the Ming Dynasty, once praised Qianfo Mountain with a poem of "rolling in the morning and evening, clouds and rosy clouds and green pavilions, rain and wind, smoke and waves and painting boats".

Development history

According to textual research, Suichang county has a deep affinity with Buddhism in history. The famous painting monks of Tang Dynasty lived in seclusion in Cuifeng courtyard of Qianfo Mountain for 14 years and completed 18 arhat paintings. Zhu Huang, a famous anti British general in the Qing Dynasty, served as a magistrate in Suichang from 1828 to 1835. He once wrote the following words: "the stone Buddha is high on Wanren mountain, and the Epiphyllum is now in Zhaoxi Bay. Even if the color is in the air, it is only in the non space and non color", which vividly describes the landscape and artistic conception of Qianfo Mountain.

Main attractions

The future Temple of Qianfo Mountain scenic area covers an area of about one square kilometer. In the temple, there is a magical Maitreya Buddha in the natural mountain. It is as high as 100 Zhang. Sitting in the East and West, it wears a natural cassock and opens the hands of Buddha to care for all living beings. It is really the magical creation and gift of nature, which is shocking. The Buddha is a mountain, and the mountain is a Buddha. Since the discovery of the Great Buddha, many miraculous causes and strange phenomena have taken place in front of the Great Buddha.

Yan'en hall is a Buddha Hall in the future temple, which is built across the stream from the natural Maitreya Buddha. The Buddha and his two disciples are worshipped in the hall. The main Buddha is Sakya Shizun. The two disciples of Kaya and Ananda are the holding Buddhas. They are all close to each other with pure gold. They are kind and solemn. Buddha's kind eyes look at the natural Maitreya Buddha, which means that Sakyamuni wrote a memorial for Maitreya Buddha to become a Buddha in the future. The eight mountains behind him are like the eight heavenly dragons guarding the Dharma Day and night.

Or from Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway, via Hangzhou to Hangzhou Xinjing expressway, turn to national highway at Xin'anjiang to Longyou, then go to Suichang via Longli Expressway and turn to provincial highway s051 to reach the scenic spot.
