Historical evolution
Initial construction
According to the Ming Dynasty inscriptions in the temple, except for the original five main halls, the rest were built between 1573 and 1619 (the Wanli year of the Ming Dynasty). After generations of renovation, the temple became a magnificent ancient temple.
Renovation and reconstruction
Before 1966, there were 17 mosques in Dachang Hui Autonomous County, including two women's mosques. Several mosques also had women's chapels. Most of these mosques were built in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with different sizes and different histories. The "ten years" turmoil and the Tangshan earthquake in 1976 destroyed these ancient buildings to varying degrees. After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with the implementation of the party's religious policy, the mosque was restored by the way of state subsidies and Muslim self financing. Since 1981, with the approval of the provincial Party committee and Langfang Regional Government, 16 mosques in the county have been restored and opened one after another.
