Overview of history
The evolution of jurisdiction
According to historical records, Yushan is under the jurisdiction of Henggou. It was mentioned many times in the first volume of Sima Qian's historical records and the second volume of Xia Benji
Henggou Township began to set up a town in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and then changed its membership many times. Before the founding of new China, it was divided into districts. In 1957, the district was removed to build a township. In 1958, the township was changed into a people's commune. In 1983, the commune was removed to build a township. In 1976, six villages in Henggou were set up to establish Wenquan Town. As a result, Yushan Mountain is now owned by four families, namely, Guantang Township in the north of the mountain, linian Township in Donghai County in the west, and Wenquan Town in the south It is subordinate to Wenquan Town and Henggou Township in the East.
Major history
Cultural sites in Yushan area
In Donghai County where Yushan is located, 6 ancient cultural sites, 5 ancient city sites, more than 10 ancient tomb sites, as well as stone totem and ancient battlefield sites have been found. The discovery of these cultural sites plays a good role in supporting the long history of Yushan.
The six ancient cultural sites are daxianzhuang cultural site, zhaodun cultural site, Xugou primitive tribal site, Xiaodianzi village Neolithic site, Fangshan Diaoyutai site and Qinghu Diaoyutai site. A large number of cultural relics and historic sites have been found in these sites.
The daxianzhuang cultural site, about 20 kilometers away from Yushan, is located on Maling mountain, southwest of daxianzhuang village, shanzuokou township. It is a Paleolithic site in Maoming, about 60000 to 10000 years ago. In 1978, it was discovered that it covers an area of 2000 square meters, and hundreds of stone tools were collected. It was promulgated in the soil layer about 10 cm thick, mainly including fine stone leaves, fine stone cores, ship bottom shaped stone cores, pencil shaped stone cores, nail cap shaped scrapers, round bottom shaped clusters, carving tools, etc. The raw materials used are flint, chalcedony, agate, crystal, quartzite and vein quartz. Yuanpo highland, Xugou village, shanzuokou Township, northeast of daxianzhuang, is a Neolithic relic. In 1980, Nanjing Museum identified it as a place of worship for primitive tribes. There are ten or twenty exposed rock slopes in the Highlands, covering an area of tens of square meters and several square meters in size. Most of the sacrificial platforms with round nests are on the rocks 20 cm above the rock slope, with more than 20 sacrificial stones. These round nests are in accordance with the style, technique and arrangement of the sacrificial stones on Jiangjun cliff in Jinping Mountain, Haizhou
.
The five ancient city sites are all in the south of Yushan, the farthest is more than 30 kilometers away from Yushan. The upper part of Lulan ancient city belongs to the Western Han Dynasty, and the lower part is a village in the Western Zhou Dynasty. Quyang ancient city, Daixiang ancient city and Chenghou ancient city belong to Han Dynasty. Luozhuang, the nearest ancient city to Yushan, is located in Luozhuang village, Henggou Township, about 8 kilometers south of Yushan, covering an area of 250000 square meters. It is square, rammed with loess, and the loess layer is clearly visible. The cultural level is about 4 meters. There are stone totems, male genitalia and other stone carvings left by the ancients in the stone mother-in-law forest of Ganwang village in Henggou Township and the stone gate of Caojie village in Fangshan town. It is estimated that they were made by human beings in ancient times.
Ancient Maling Road
To the west of Yushan, there is Maling mountain, which stretches eight hundred miles through the two provinces of Jiangsu and Shandong. This is the ancient battlefield where Sun Bin and Pang Juan fought for wisdom and Qi soldiers defeated Wei soldiers in the Warring States period. There are nanguzhai and beiguzhai villages in shanzuokou Township, Donghai County, and jiejiaying village in Tancheng County, Shandong Province. Zhou Gucheng, a famous scholar, and Guo huaruo, a military scientist, respectively inscribed the inscription of "ancient Maling road". On the ancient Maling Road, there is the historic site of Wanghai tower.

"Drilling a well" in the Chinese mainland scientific drilling project
From August 14, 2001 to April 18, 2005, after nearly 4 years of hard work, the "drilling well" of the Chinese mainland scientific drilling project has successfully been buried 5158 meters underground in the 40 km north of the south of the Yushan Mountain. Based on this, a series of scientific research achievements have been achieved, which marks a significant breakthrough in China's land entry plan. In the world, "going to earth" and "going to heaven" are both important frontier scientific research strategic topics. Kezuan-1 well in the East China Sea responded to the earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean on December 26, 2004
.
Why does "kezuan-1 well" have a special preference for the East China Sea? Because Donghai County, where Yushan is located, is located in an ultra-high pressure geological belt with rich and complex geological conditions. Minerals found thousands of meters underground in other areas can be found on the surface of the East China Sea. At present, there are 49 kinds of underground mineral resources in Jiangsu Province, and 37 kinds in Donghai County. Among them, the reserves of crystal, quartz, rutile and other mineral resources are among the best in the country. There are also serpentine, kyanite, magnesia alumina garnet (garnet), potash feldspar, diamond, dolomite, muscovite and other minerals with abundant reserves and mining value. Yushan is located in the northern end of the Tan Lu fault zone, and its surrounding mineral resources are very rich. Changlin diamond, the first diamond in China, was discovered in Linshu, Shandong Province in 1977. It is less than 20 kilometers away from Yushan. There are gold deposits in Yushan, but the content is low and it is not suitable for mining. It is said that the Japanese opened gold mines in Yushan when they invaded China
.
Yushan rock belongs to migmatite, with beautiful pattern, uniform particle distribution, compact structure, smooth grindstone, grade 9 hardness and corrosion resistance. In 1998, Lianyungang Bureau of Geology and mineral resources completed the general survey of gold deposits in Yushan metamorphic rock area, digging 260 meters of tunnels and trenching 3000 cubic meters, and found 20 high-grade sample points with a gold content of 20 g / T
.
