Tengchong Confucian Temple
Tengchong Confucian temple, also known as Xuegong and Xuexue, is located in the southern end of the urban area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a large-scale group building. Tengchong Confucian temple is the only well preserved academic palace in Baoshan area, and the only ancient architectural complex left by Tengchong city in the Anti Japanese war in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has extremely important historical value for the study of the spread of Central Plains culture in the southwest border of China.

The construction of Tengchong academy began in 1480 A.D. in the 16th year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty. It was originally built in the northwest corner of the city. In 1705 A.D., it was transferred to the military and civilian commanding envoys of Tengchong in Ming Dynasty. In front of it, it used dache Lake as panchi, Xiufeng mountain on the left as Kui Pavilion, and Wenchang temple on the right. On the central axis, there are panchi, Lingxing gate, Dacheng gate, Dacheng hall and Chongsheng temple. On both sides of the Dacheng hall, there are Confucius disciples and Confucian tablets of all dynasties. Around dachengmen is the ancestral hall of famous officials. On the left side of panchi dyke, Qifeng square was built, then Minglun hall, and then xunzhuo. On the right side of panchi dyke, Qifeng square was built, followed by Xuezheng square.
