In Bajing Park, there are the famous historic sites of Ganzhou - song city wall and bajingtai. On the eight mirror platform, you can have a panoramic view of Ganzhou and the source of Ganjiang River. More than half of Bajing park is surrounded by the ancient city wall, with Yongjin gate in the South and the north gate and the source of Ganjiang River in the north.
Development history
Located at the confluence of zhangshui and Gongshui in the north of Ganzhou City, Bajing park is the symbol of Ganzhou ancient city. Its name comes from the 18 scenic spots in the garden.
Today's platform is three stories high, with a total area of 574 square meters and a height of 28.5 meters. The platform was built according to the city wall. It was originally a wooden structure and was destroyed by fire several times. In 1983, it was rebuilt in song style.
The eaves, the pillars and the beams are magnificent. According to historical records, the original platform was a stone building built by Kong Zonghan in the Jiayou period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1056-1063). Kong Zonghan was born in Gongfu, Shandong Province, and the 46th grandson of Confucius. In view of the fact that "the city of Zhou is surrounded by water, especially in the northeast, it is easy to collapse", so he "cut down the stone for the site, smelt iron to fix the foundation", repaired the Earth City into a brick city, and built city buildings on it.
After the completion of bajingtai, Kong Zonghan asked Su Dongpo to write poems. Therefore, Su Dongpo wrote eight poems of Qianzhou and eight poems of Bajing. In the previous poem, Su Dongpo first proposed eight scenic spots of cities in Chinese history, forming a group of scenic spots for later generations to imitate, such as eight scenic spots of Yanshan, eight scenic spots of Lucheng, eight scenic spots of Hong Kong and eight scenic spots of Taiwan, which is a milestone of Chinese Tourism culture. There is also a Ganzhou Museum in bajingtai, which displays a wealth of historical relics. Under the stage, there is a bajingpark. In the garden, the green trees are vast, the clear water is flowing slightly, the buildings and pavilions are facing each other, fresh and quiet, and the scenery is picturesque. There are many poems written by scholars in the past dynasties.
