Genzi town is located in the northeast of Maonan District of Maoming City, the southeast of Gaozhou City, and the north subtropical zone. The town is rich in litchi, well-known thousands of miles, is the "National Sugar poppy.". Baila litchi production base, "national litchi standardization demonstration zone", is known as the first town of Litchi in China and the hometown of Litchi in China. In 2014, it was named as a new generation of "Lingnan charming town" with Guangdong characteristics.

Genzi town is also the hometown of Pan Maoming, a famous historical figure. In the last years of the Western Jin Dynasty, there was a Taoist named pan Maoming in the area of today's Gaozhou Genzi Fushan. He learned Yi Ming's poems and saved people's lives. Later, he became an immortal. He sailed up to the West Mountain (today's Guanshan Mountain) to visit the immortal. Later, in order to commemorate him, people called the place where he lived Maoming. Genzi town is located in the northeast of Maonan District, Maoming City, Guangdong Province, Southeast of Gaozhou City, Maoming City, 40 km away from Shuidong port and 120 km away from Zhanjiang Airport. Famous people

Pan Maoming, a native of Gaoliang in the Western Jin Dynasty, was a pioneer of Taoism in the south of the five ridges. Born in the period from Taikang to Taixi (281-290), he lived at the foot of Fushan (now Genzi Town, Gaozhou).
