Changle Zhenghe square is located on the South Bank of Minjiang Estuary, where Zheng He must pass. It is one of the main scenic areas of Minjiang Estuary built to commemorate the 600th anniversary of Zheng He's voyages. The square covers an area of 53 mu, with a series of scenic spots including Zheng He statue, Zheng He treasure boat, Taiping port Shuai camp, sea sacrifice altar, Sanbao Pavilion, zhoushuai anchorage, and Zheng He navigation hall. Among them, the stone statue of Zheng He is the core landscape. The tall and majestic shape and resolute expression show Zheng He's courage to open up, fearless of difficulties and indomitable spirit. The height of the statue is 14.05 meters, which means the first time Zheng He went to the West in 1405. The base of the statue is 7 meters wide and 2.8 meters high, implying that Zheng He went to the West seven times during the 28 years. Weighing 700 tons, the stone statue is made of 141 high-quality granite. Its foundation is 3 meters deep into the rock. It can withstand strong typhoons of M 12 and earthquakes of M 8 or above.
