Historical evolution
Before the merger
Harbin Institute of Electrical Engineering
Harbin Institute of electrical engineering, one of the three schools, was first established and was once known as the "Huangpu Military Academy" in the wire and cable industry.
The history of the school can be traced back to January 26, 1950. In order to restore the national economy and cultivate the intermediate technical talents of the Northeast Electrical industry, the administration of electrical industry of the Ministry of industry of the Northeast People's government decided to establish the Northeast Electrical Industry Senior Vocational School. Therefore, the Administration of electrical industry of the Ministry of industry of the Northeast People's government took over the former Fushun No.2 Middle School and changed its name to Northeast Electrical Industry Senior Vocational School It's a business school. In February 1950, Fushun No.2 Middle School handed over the school to Northeast Electrical Industry Administration Bureau. On March 12, 1950, Northeast Electrical industry higher vocational school officially opened.
On October 18, 1952, the Northeast Electrical Industry Higher Vocational School was ordered to move from Fushun City to Machang, Xiangfang District, Harbin City (now sandadi Road, Xiangfang District, Harbin City), and changed its name to Harbin Electrical machinery industry school. In April 1953, the subordinate relationship of Harbin Electrical Machinery Industry School was transferred from the Ministry of industry of the Northeast People's government to the first Ministry of mechanical industry of the Central People's government, and the school was named Harbin electrical appliances Technical school. In 1956, it was subordinate to the Ministry of electrical machinery manufacturing industry and was renamed Harbin Electrical machinery manufacturing school. In 1958, with the approval of the first Ministry of mechanical industry, Harbin Electrical machinery manufacturing school was transformed into Harbin Electrical Engineering College, and the original technical secondary school of Harbin Electrical machinery manufacturing school was retained.
In 1970, Harbin Institute of electrical engineering was incorporated into Harbin Institute of technology
In 1974, Harbin Institute of Technology (part of Harbin Institute of Electrical Engineering) resumed. In August 1978, Harbin Institute of electrical engineering was subordinate to the first Ministry of mechanical industry.
Harbin University of science and Technology (former Heilongjiang Institute of Technology)
Harbin University of science and technology, one of the three universities, is established and developed on the basis of Heilongjiang Institute of technology.
The predecessor of Heilongjiang Institute of technology is the four secondary specialized schools under the four ministries and commissions of the state: first, Harbin civil engineering school, founded in 1952, under the Ministry of metallurgical industry, renamed Harbin metallurgical school in 1958; second, Harbin machinery manufacturing school, founded in 1952, under the Ministry of Mechanical industry; third, Harbin urban construction engineering school, founded in 1956, under the Ministry of metallurgical industry Harbin construction engineering school, founded in 1952, belongs to the Ministry of urban construction engineering. In July 1958, the Heilongjiang provincial education working conference discussed and decided to merge Harbin civil engineering school and Harbin machinery manufacturing school to establish Heilongjiang Institute of technology. In November of the same year, with the approval of Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Harbin urban construction engineering school and Harbin construction engineering school were merged into the Civil Engineering Department of Heilongjiang Institute of technology. In 1960, Heilongjiang Institute of technology was incorporated into Harbin Institute of technology.
