Jinzhou Normal University

On February 17, 1950, the provincial Party committee and government of western Liaoning Province decided to set up "Liaoxi industry and agriculture rapid middle school". In July 1958, Jinzhou teachers' college was established on the basis of the quick Middle School of industry and agriculture. On November 20, 1958, Jinzhou Normal College was upgraded to "Jinzhou Normal College" and began to recruit undergraduates. From August 1959 to March 1962, Jinzhou Normal University experienced two changes of school name and educational system, and was reduced to a junior college.

In April 1962, Liaoning industry and agriculture teachers college was merged into Jinzhou Normal University. At the same time, the teaching and research sections of physics and chemistry in Master Lu college, Anshan college, Fushun college, Benxi college and Chaoyang college were merged into Jinzhou Normal University. The school was officially upgraded from a three-year junior college to a four-year undergraduate.

On January 8, 1970, Liaoning Provincial Revolutionary Committee decided to suspend Jinzhou Normal University. On October 3, 1973, with the approval of Liaoning provincial reform committee, the organizational system of Jinzhou Normal University was restored and renamed as "Jinzhou branch of Liaoning first normal university". On November 26, 1978, Liaoning Province transmitted the document of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and decided to restore Jinzhou branch of Liaoning first normal university to its original name "Jinzhou Normal University".

Liaoning Commercial College

In August 1951, with the approval of the northeast trade department of the Northeast People's government, Jinzhou Business and technology school was established, which belongs to the Department of Commerce of western Liaoning Province.

Merger of the two universities

On April 5, 2000, Liaoning Provincial Department of education, Liaoning Provincial Development Planning Commission, Liaoning Provincial Department of finance, Liaoning Provincial Department of personnel and Liaoning Provincial Organization Committee Office jointly issued the No. 3 document of Liaoning education development, which decided to merge Jinzhou Normal University with Liaoning commercial college.
