Composition of ancient roads

There are many, long, strange and beautiful red maple ancient roads in Wencheng, Zhejiang Province. They were all built in the yuan and Ming Dynasties. After generations of accumulation and continuous restoration, they are all over Wencheng and connect the big towns and small townships of Wencheng.

There are still more than 70 well preserved ancient Maple roads in Wencheng, with a total of more than 3000 ancient maple trees. Almost all the villages have ancient Maple roads. Among them, there are more than 10 ancient Maple roads distributed around the town of dafao, the most famous of which are huidaling, longchuanling (52ling), songlongling and yananling. In autumn, red maple is like fire, red maple and ancient road are winding in the mountains, forming a unique cultural landscape. At the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, the mountain climbers and photographers gather one after another, lighting a fire in the winter of Wencheng tourism.

Wencheng County, Zhejiang Province, is located in the southwest of Wenzhou. It is named after the posthumous title of Liu Ji, the founder of the Ming Dynasty. The county is mountainous, and the traffic was blocked in the old days. There are dozens of red maple ancient roads in the county, among which the great assembly ridge is the most famous. From Fulong village, Lingtou natural village, to Lingjiao village, Dafang Town, the assembly ridge has a total length of about 10 Li and more than 4300 levels. There are many pines and maples on the mountain. The big ones are hundreds of years old. The big trees are several feet high. In summer, the sun is covered with shade. In autumn, the maple trees are everywhere. They are very beautiful and attract tourists. It is impossible to know when the great assembly ridge was first built. Chen Qingchang separately invested 800 Silver yuan to build the stone slab road of the great assembly ridge. Most of the sections on the ridge are made of granite strips, which are about 1.5 meters long, 30 cm wide and 20 cm thick, very neat and beautiful. One section of "doumi Zhi" has more than 320 levels, straight and steep. It is said that the bearers have to eat doumi to get here.

Before the highway is opened, great assembly ridge is an important traffic thoroughfare in Wencheng. It can pass through Wenzhou, Rui'an, Nantian, Xikeng, Jingning, Yunhe and other counties through Dagao town. There are a lot of pedestrians on the road. Some enthusiastic gentry donated money to build road pavilions, temples, and property to set up tea halls, which were in charge of providing free tea and rest for pedestrians.

During the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, Wang kuijin and kuizhu, the gardeners, built Yunting nunnery and Lingtou Pavilion at Lingtou, and Wang kuishang built a Buddhist niche and a simple pavilion under banlingyan for pedestrians to rest. In the Qing Dynasty, Yunting nunnery was changed into Yunding temple, the pavilion was rebuilt, and a tea hall was added to provide free tea for pedestrians. Zhou Daoliang, a native of Aoli in Xikeng, once passed over the mountain in salt and fainted from heatstroke. Fortunately, he was rescued by haoxinzhai in banlingting. After his recovery, he made a vow to build three huilingtang in Banling in the seventh year of Qianlong reign (1742 A.D.). The benefactor pan Chun also donated money to help build the mountain farm. The Wu family in Zhuchuan (today's Daixu Village) were happy to help build the mountain farm. Zhou Daoliang also donated the cost of 22 stone tea hall in Liangtian nearby. In the 19th year of Guangxu (1893 A.D.), Zhou descendants inherited his ambition and returned to repair the old hall. In the next five years, they continued to build five Buddhist statues and recruit monks. In order to thank the Zhou family for their good deeds, Huiling hall gave them a pair of longevity peaches each weighing three Jin each year until 1949. Since then, Banling Pavilion and Huiling hall have been repaired several times. Today, Banling Pavilion still has a square ancient stove made of regular peach blossom stone and bluestone, which can be seen from the scene of that year. At Banling, there is the Baiyang village site built during the peasant uprising of Wu Chengqi in the late Yuan Dynasty.

Under the Banling mountain, there is a scene called "Liumi rock". It is well known to women and children that Liumi helped build the great assembly mountain.

After liberation, with the rapid development of transportation, the great assembly ridge is no longer the prosperous place in the past. Only when the maple is red in autumn, there are still many tourists to watch, painters and photographers to collect and create. With the development of local tourism, Wencheng Hongfeng ancient road is well-known. At the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, there is an endless stream of tourists. Therefore, great assembly ridge is far more lively than in ancient times.

Assembly ridge

It is located from Lingjiao village, Da'an Town, Wencheng County to Fu'an village, Baizhang Town, east-west direction, Yuan Ming ancient road. About 4500 steps, the whole journey is about 5km. In the early stage, the road was paved with irregular riprap, and in the middle and late stage, it was paved with qingtiaoshi. There are many kinds of famous trees and bamboo forests on both sides of the ancient road, and there are many cultural landscapes, including Huiji bridge, Lingjiao Pavilion, Banling Pavilion, Huiyun temple, Yunting nunnery, Yunding temple, baiyangzhai site built during the peasant uprising of Wu Chengqi in the late Yuan Dynasty. Among them, there are 9 stone tablets, 1 incense burner from Daoguang of Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, and a regular peach blossom stone and bluestone built in Banling Pavilion Square body ancient stove.

After hundreds of years, the ancient road is still well preserved. Along the way, there are many types of cultural relics, showing the historical flavor of each era.

Wuerling, Longchuan

It is located in shanqiukou pavilion from toucun, Longchuan village, Wencheng County to Guoshan village. North South, Ming and Qing Dynasties ancient road, about 3.5 km. In ancient times, it was connected to baizhanghe and Nantian, and then to Huangtan and Dagao. In the early stage, the road was paved with irregular rough stones, and in the late stage, it was paved with strip stones. On both sides of the ancient road are trees such as Liquidambar formosana and Pinus. Along the way, there are three single hole stone bridges in the north, middle and south of the 52ling mountains. There are gardens such as chestnuts, pears, grapes, peaches, grapefruit and plums. There are also places for people's holiday leisure, eating, drinking and playing - farmhouse entertainment.

Wuerling is one of the most distinctive Hongfeng ancient roads in our county. It is an ancient building to study the traffic development in ancient times.

Songlongling

It is located from Shalong village, Da'an Town, Wencheng County to maolitang village, long Wai village, Liyang township. It is an ancient road of Ming and Qing Dynasties, running from north to south. The whole journey is about 2.4 km. The ancient road passes through Liyang Township and goes down to Dagao Town, Taishun County, Yuhu town and Pingyang County. The ancient road is mainly paved with regular peach blossom stones, with many crutches. The middle section is well protected, and it is made of ancient round stones, which is full of charm. On both sides of the ancient road, there are many kinds of famous trees, mainly Liquidambar. Along the way, there are bamboo forest, farmhouse, alpine dwellings, xusangong temple, long'ertou Road Pavilion, Jinpan Xianggong hall and other cultural landscapes. The environment is beautiful and the scenery is pleasant. On the way, there is a well beside the fragrant maple, and a sitting board made of stones for passers-by to rest.

Songlongling is one of the Hongfeng ancient roads in our county, with a long history. It is the material material for studying the old traffic in our county.

Yan'anling

Located in Wencheng County, from dafishanmen village to shatou'an village, Xishan village, Liyang Township, it is an ancient road of Ming and Qing Dynasties with a north-south direction. The whole journey is about 2 kilometers. The ancient road passes through Liyang Township and reaches dafai Town, Taishun County, Yuhu town and Pingyang County. There are many cultural landscapes on the left road, such as Yunjiang Pavilion, Guanyin hall, three palaces, Niangniang hall, daxiongbao hall, Weituo hall, Kuisheng hall, Wuxian hall, Qingyun Pavilion, Yiran Pavilion, tea pavilion, landlord temple, Shuangfeng Pavilion, Dongqiao, among which Yan'an temple is the county protection unit; the ancient road is luxuriant in vegetation, trees cover the sky, and many strange stones are seen from afar natural landscape.

Yan'anling is one of the Hongfeng ancient roads in our county. So far, there is an endless stream of pedestrians. It can be seen that yan'anling is of great significance to the life of the villagers.

Other Huiling

Maoli leiling

It is located at the intersection of trigeminal road and Longjing Village in Dajia town. It used to be the main road for people in Wencheng, Pingyang and Taishun counties. There is a continuous stream of pedestrians. It is famous for its steep mountains, with an altitude of about 400 meters. There are 59 red maple trees on both sides of the ancient road, which is one of the "red maple ancient roads" in our county. It is about 3.6 km from Lingjiao to Longjing. The pavement is paved with bluestone slabs ranging in length from 1.3m to 1.4m and in width from 0.35m to 0.36M. On the side of the ancient road in Longjing Village, there are the ancestral hall of Wu family, which was built in 1803 of Jiaqing, 1863 of Tongzhi, 1875 of the first year of Guangxu, 1995, 1894 of Guangxu and 1934 of the Republic of China. On the way, there is the ancestral hall of Wu family, which was built in 1874 of Shishen of Tongzhi Chen 14 Niangniang hall, wuxianye hall and Qingquan Pavilion. In 1979, the ancient road was partially rebuilt by the villagers.

Maolilailing ancient road is not only a fitness site for residents in our county, but also a tourist attraction of the county.

Daoling

It is located in the indigo mountain of Wulong Village, Wencheng County. Daoling is an important transportation hub connecting baizhanghe, Eryuan, Nantian and Dagao. The original wooden gallery bridge at Lingjiao is in disrepair for a long time. Now it is reconstructed with a reinforced concrete bridge. When crossing the bridge to daolingjiao, there are two stone steles of "changlingjiao" in 1918. The distance from Daoling root to Daoling foot is about 5 km, with 36 turns. Daoling ancient road starts with a particular foot. It is laid with bluestone slabs, about 50 meters long. Later, it is laid with riprap stones. The road has many turns and is towering and steep. At the foot of the corridor, you can see a pavilion not far away. In front of the pavilion, there is an ancient stone stele named "wooden bridge stele" erected in the 11th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. There is also an ancient pavilion on the half ridge, beside which there is a mountain spring for passers-by to drink. There is Jingfu hall in Lingtou, in front of which there are two stone tablets and one censer in 1890. After hundreds of years, Daoling remains its original appearance.
