Yufeng mountain
Located in the northwest of Kunshan City. It is 80.2 meters high. It is a hundred Li plain area. However, it has a unique peak. The mountains are green and the rocks are white as jade. It is known as Linglong stone in the world. Therefore, it has the reputation of "real mountain like rockery".
Development history
Huiju temple was built in the Liang Dynasty of the Southern Dynasty. It is said to be the first of the 480 temples in the Southern Dynasty. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty toured here on a tour to the South with the title of "flying kite and leaping fish". In 1906, it was established as a park, which was named Ma'anshan park because the mountain looked like a saddle. In 1936, it was renamed Tinglin Park in memory of Gu Yanwu.
Main attractions
At the main gate, there is the "Yufeng JIACHU" Zhaobi. On the east side, there is Qionghua, one of the three treasures of Kunshan mountain (another is Kunshan stone, bingdilian). It is more than meters high. In April and may every year, there are eight silver flowers in a group, because it has the name of "jubaxian". On the west side of the building is the ancestral hall of Gu Dingchen, an important official of the Ming Dynasty, which was built in recognition of Gu Dingchen's achievements in building a city against Japanese invaders. There is a statue of Gu Yanwu in front of the mountain, and the famous saying of Gu is engraved on the wall: everyone is responsible for the rise and fall of the world (Li Yimeng's book). Gu, a native of qiandun (also known as xidun) in Kunshan, was one of the three greatest thinkers and patriotic scholars in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, together with Wang Fuzhi and Huang Zongxi. His works were abundant and his famous sayings had a great influence on later generations.
Yufeng mountain is divided into East and West peaks, with Baiyun peak in the East and ziyunyan in the West. In the middle of the mountain, there is a pavilion, which was built by Tao Shu, governor of Liangjiang during the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. There is a tomb of Liu Guo at the east foot of the mountain. Liu is a famous patriotic poet of the bold and unconstrained school in the Southern Song Dynasty. He is a Taoist of Longzhou. He is friendly with Xin Qiji and Lu Youji and has written Longzhou CI. On the side of the cave, the clear spring trickles down from the top of the cave. The seal script of the cave is "water curtain cave"; on it, there are several feet of huge stones standing on the wall, engraved with "iniquity cloud peak". Facing the north, there is Gu Tinglin Memorial Hall. In front of the hall, there are two Kunshi, 2 meters high, named "Linglong Yingrun", which are treasures among the stones. In the south, there is a pool, where all kinds of lilies are planted. It is said that this is a famous species of Phyllanthus, with double calyx and pedicel, which is a rare precious flower. Gu aying, a famous scholar of Yuan Dynasty, planted it in Zhengyi and later transplanted it here. Ziyunyan is the main peak of the mountain, with many dangerous rocks and strange rocks. Its natural scenery is better than that of Dongfeng, with Cuiwei Pavilion, Yufeng Pavilion and wenzaofeng.
