Longqing nunnery is located in Anji County, Zhejiang Province, which is the "bamboo town of China". It was built in 912 A.D. during the period of Houliang in the Five Dynasties. It is said that the king of Wu and Yue came to the site in person and was rebuilt and expanded in song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Longqing'an site has a unique topography, which is called "seven leaf lotus ridge", which looks like a natural lotus seat. It is said that it is the place where Guanyin Bodhisattva practices Buddhism.
