Before and after World War II, many Taiwanese children became Japanese soldiers, national soldiers and PLA because of the conscription of different regimes. They don't know why they fight or for whom they die. Up to now, the souls of the dead still can't return home, and they haven't been compensated, which is gradually forgotten by history.
The former army's veterans and the association of the former Chinese army have been actively running for many years, hoping to commemorate the children of Taiwan's troops recruited to Chinese mainland and Southeast Asia in the way of building a tablet, and give a reasonable historical orientation. With the assistance of the Cultural Construction Committee of the Executive Yuan and the Kaohsiung Municipal government, Kaohsiung, the port where many Taiwanese soldiers, Japanese soldiers and Chinese soldiers went to battle, was finally selected to build a memorial park for war and peace in front of the sea, hoping to summon the souls of Taiwanese heroes who died overseas and leave a witness to the history of blood and tears.
