Military Medical School of Red Army of Chinese workers and peasants
In November 1931, the Communist Party of China held the first national Soviet Congress in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province, and established a central democratic government with Mao Zedong as chairman.
In order to meet the needs of the revolutionary war, with the approval of the Central Military Commission, the first military medical school founded by the Communist Party of China was born in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province, on November 20, with He Cheng as the president.
Red Army Health School of Chinese workers and peasants
In February 1932, the Military Medical School of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army held the opening ceremony of the first phase of the military medical period in Yudu, Jiangxi Province. Comrade Mao Zedong formulated the school running policy of "firm politics and excellent technology" for the school. Zhu De, commander in chief of the Red Army, and Ye Jianying, chief of the general staff, attended the meeting and made a speech.
In October, on the basis of setting up the military medical period, the school successively set up the adjustment class, nursing class, health worker class and health chief class. The Central Military Commission renamed the Military Medical School of the Red Army of the Chinese workers and peasants as the health school of the Red Army of the Chinese workers and peasants. In October 1934, in order to smash the fifth "encirclement and suppression" of the Kuomintang army against the central revolutionary base, the Central Red Army began a strategic shift and carried out the 25000 Li Long March. China Medical University
In 1940, the school moved to Yan'an and developed rapidly. On the proposal of Comrade Mao Zedong, the school was renamed China Medical University. Wang Bin continued to be the principal of the school. The school has a school department. According to the school constitution, the nature of the school is "a school engaged in training technical talents under the leadership of the Communist Party of China"; the goal of the school is "to train revolutionary health cadres with excellent technology, to meet the needs of the Anti Japanese War and the founding of the people's Republic of China, and to fight to the end for national liberation and the cause of communism"; the educational policy is "to cultivate students with firm politics, correct thinking and loyalty to their posts" "Responsible and consistent health workers". The school has adjusted the educational system. The military medical period is four years, the pharmaceutical class is three years, and the dispensing class is one year.
On November 18, 1945, according to the guiding spirit of the Party Central Committee to establish and consolidate the Northeast revolutionary base, China Medical University started from Yan'an and marched into the northeast.
In July 1946, China Medical University arrived in Xingshan (now Hegang City), Heilongjiang Province, and merged with northeast Military Medical University (formerly known as Harbin Army Military Medical School).
In January 1947, China Medical University merged with Medical College of Northeast University and former Harbin Medical University. The school has a well-equipped Affiliated Hospital, which has four hospitals, each with 300-400 beds.
At the beginning of 1948, China Medical University set up four branches. In Longjing, Jilin Military University was set up as the first branch, with internal medicine as the main branch; in Harbin, the second branch was set up, with ENT as the main branch; in Tongliao, Liaodong Military Medical College was set up as the third branch; in Pinggu, jireliao medical college was set up as the fourth branch.
In October 1948, on the order of the higher authorities, the school sent Li Tingzhi, vice president of the school, to lead some cadres, teachers and students to take over the former Medical College of Changchun University and form Changchun Military Medical University; the first and second branches were merged into the current Harbin Medical University, the third branch was merged into the general school; the fourth branch was established as the current Chengde Medical College.
In November 1948, the whole Northeast China was liberated, and China Medical University was ordered to settle in Shenyang. According to the instructions of northeast Administrative Committee and northeast military command, the former national Shenyang Medical University (formerly Manchuria Medical University, founded by Japan's Nanman Railway Co., Ltd. in 1911) and the former private Liaoning Medical University (formerly shengjingshi hospital medical school, founded by the United Kingdom in 1883) were merged Medical missionaries sent by the United Presbyterian Church were established.
In May 1949, according to the order of the Northeast military region and the Northeast administrative committee, China Medical University was under the leadership of the Northeast Administrative Committee under the leadership of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In July 1949, Northeast College of pharmacy was merged into China Medical University as the College of pharmacy.
In March 1950, China Medical University enrolled students with high school education for the first time in China. The length of schooling is five years.
In October 1950, the Korean War broke out. According to the instructions of the higher authorities, some teachers and students of the school formed an operation team and a stretcher team, and set up Bei'an hospital in Bei'an County of Heilongjiang Province to undertake the rescue work of the wounded of the Chinese people's Volunteer Army.
In October 1952, according to the decision of the Ministry of education on the adjustment of departments, the school of pharmacy of China Medical University was renamed Northeast College of Pharmacy (now Shenyang Pharmaceutical University), which broke away from the establishment of China Medical University.
In August 1954, the administrative organ of the Northeast People's government was abolished, and China Medical University was under the leadership of the Ministry of health.
In October 1955, China Medical University accepted the postgraduate training task assigned by the Ministry of health of the people's Republic of China, which made China Medical University one of the earliest schools to set up postgraduate education in China and also the beginning of postgraduate education in China Medical University.
In July 1955, according to the decision of the Ministry of education on the adjustment of departments and colleges, the Department of public health of China Medical University was merged into Harbin Medical University, which set up a health teaching and research group; the Department of Pediatrics of Harbin Medical University was merged into China Medical University.
In August 1955, according to the instructions of the Ministry of health of the people's Republic of China, the school established the medical department and the Department of Pediatrics.
Shenyang Medical College
In September 1956, according to the decision of the State Council on the adjustment of medical colleges, China Medical University was renamed Shenyang Medical College. In 1962, the Department of public health was incorporated into Harbin Medical University.
In 1976, according to the instruction of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, the University began to undertake the task of training international students, and enrolled international students from eight countries. The school rebuilt the Department of public health.
China Medical University
In March 1978, with the approval of the Ministry of health, the name of China Medical University was restored.

In March 1982, with the approval of the Ministry of health of the people's Republic of China, China Medical University established a degree evaluation committee. According to the relevant regulations of the state on degree awarding, 32 people were granted medical degrees for the first time.
In May 1987, the Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University held the opening ceremony and became the first undergraduate stomatological teaching hospital in Liaoning Province.
In May 1994, China Medical University established the school of basic medicine on the basis of the former Department of basic medicine.
The university is a medical college under the Ministry of health of the people's Republic of China, which was transferred to Liaoning Provincial People's Government in 2000.
In 2010, it was selected as the national "characteristic key discipline project" construction university.
