This well-known Hakka village, together with gankeng Hakka Town, Hehu new residence and Jingui village, has become a hot spot of rural and folk tourism in Shenzhen.
The predecessor of printmaking village is dashuitian village, which includes two natural villages, niuhu new paddock (also known as Longmen Wai) and dashuitian village. The total planning area of Guanlan printmaking village is 1.4 million square meters, of which the central area is 316000 square meters. The integration of engraving village and ancient Hakka Village integrates Hakka cultural themes into modern landscape elements. The establishment of a relatively perfect market-oriented operation mechanism is a national cultural industry demonstration base with perfect supporting facilities, beautiful environment and good social and economic benefits. It combines the modern print workshop with the ancient Hakka village to form unique cultural elements, and also provides the source of ideas for artists' creation.

Printmaking village is a typical ancient village where Hakkas live. The ancient village is built by mountains and rivers, with the shape of row houses, ancient ponds, wells, ancestral temples and watchtowers, forming a unique Hakka living style. The village is surrounded by towering trees, coconut trees, mango trees, banyan trees and other subtropical plants linked together, a beautiful scenery, quiet and serene weather. No wonder the friends who accompanied the visitors said that this is the real pastoral scenery and the last paradise in Shenzhen.
Beside a small Heping, there is a small river from west to East. Along the river, there is an old house with three rooms facing north and south. The old house has white walls and grey tiles. Long weeds grow on the tiles. There is a fish shaped drip channel on the wall. Moss grows down the fish mouth, revealing the long time of the old house and the pastoral life of the Hakka people in the past. There is an old well in front of the house. It can also make clear sweet water. Next to it is a tall watchtower, hidden in the green trees. In the 1920s, a young man came out of this room, holding a paintbrush and a carving knife, and became a famous figure in China's new print industry. He was Chen Yanqiao, a literary warrior, a printmaker, and an educator.
When it comes to Chen Yanqiao and printmaking, we have to mention Lu Xun. Lu Xun is the father of China's new woodcut movement. He has published more than 10 woodcut Anthologies in his life, and cultivated a number of pioneers of new woodcut. Chen Yanqiao is one of them. In April 1934, Chen Yanqiao began to communicate with Lu Xun and wrote under the guidance of Lu Xun. Chen Yanqiao had more than 20 correspondence letters with Lu Xun, and his works such as "vegetable girl worker", "natural disaster" and "lodging" also participated in the Paris revolution's new art exhibition of China. In his pursuit of print art, Chen Yanqiao emphasizes documentary and peace, and forms a simple, rich and unique style of painting language. His achievements in print make him a leader in new wood carving.
Now, because of his engraving gene, following his growth path, he has established a national engraving creation base in his hometown dashuitian village. American Diana, Chinese painters Li Huanmin, Xu Kuang and fan min became the contract painters of the creative base. When you are in the print base, you can not only feel the rich southern customs and appreciate the masterpieces of famous artists, but also have close contact with the painters to experience the process of woodcut making. In the process of woodcut making, you can experience the pleasure of the formation of works of art, and sigh at the superb skill of the artists. The unique smell of knife and wood is perfectly integrated with the harmonious smell of nature, which radiates endless artistic charm in dashuitian village.
Culture is the soul of a city. After 30 years of reform and opening up, Shenzhen has changed from a small fishing village to a modern metropolis, in which culture has always been the core of urban spiritual development. Shenzhen cultural theme park, cultural industrial park and cultural creative park all show the influence and promotion of culture on the city. As a kind of art, printmaking has been depressed for decades, but I believe it will shine brilliantly in Shenzhen. As Zheng Zhenduo said, "Li Zao painting, in order to promote culture, has made great achievements.".
Because here is the foundation of Chen Yanqiao, there is a world-famous print village.
From the time of its birth, print village had favorable conditions for the harmony of time, place and people. "Tianshi" will be officially listed as "China Guanlan Print original industry base" during the cultural fair in May 2007, while "geographical advantage" means that the print village is located on the Bank of Guanlan lake with natural scenery and economic market. What about Renhe? In fact, the important reason why the woodblock village was built in Guanlan is that there is Chen Yanqiao, the first generation woodblock artist in China. When this famous printmaker, who has passed away for more than 30 years, is about to be forgotten, people think of the brush left by Chen Yanqiao in his ancestral house in niuhu; they remember that he once studied and taught in Guangpei school, a famous school with a hundred years of history; they recall the revolutionary story of his fighting side by side with Mr. Lu Xun in the new woodcut movement, which was proved by letters
Guanlan Print village, a famous Hakka village, is a piece of pure land hidden in the depth of urban prosperity. People call it "the most beautiful village in Shenzhen". This creative base of original prints is an important branch of Shenzhen cultural fair, and the annual original print fair is an important part of Shenzhen cultural activities. Guanlan printmaking village is picturesque, with a strong humanistic atmosphere and artistic atmosphere. The old house in the field is clean and desolate because no one rents it, which makes it more peaceful and peaceful.
Build a print village
Adjacent to the world's largest Guanlan lake golf course, surrounded by row upon row of industrial plants, the ancient dashuitian village has always adhered to the tranquility of a paradise. The Golden Gallery House (Note: the roof of the Hakka house is like a golden word, so it is called) has become a place for migrant workers to rent. However, in June 2006, dashuitian village changed. Nearly a thousand migrant workers and tenants received the notice of empty building relocation. 202 old Hakka houses were empty in a few days. June 20 is the last day of the relocation. The tenant Zheng Ming and his wife moved out the last box of luggage from dashuitian village. He looked back at the old house in the late Qing Dynasty, which had lived for more than ten years. He was curious: I heard that the government was going to build this village into a "printmaking village". What kind of place should it be?
We have to start from the beginning. In our impression, Guanlan is probably the most antique place in Shenzhen. The ancient town market in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, 114 ancient turrets and concentrated Hakka houses have all become the witness of Guanlan's history and culture. In March 2006, when the Municipal Federation of literary and art circles and the Municipal Art Association planned an activity - "Mission Hills in painters' works", the idea of creating a print village in Shenzhen appeared in the minds of artists. This idea may be a bit romantic, but when Bao'an District government and Guanlan sub district office learned about the idea, they readily agreed to push it forward. They found the Chinese Artists Association, and the Chinese Artists Association, which is looking for a breakthrough in the development of print, also hit it off. As a result, the concept of printmaking village has taken shape.
The project is progressing faster than people expected. On the first day of the opening of the second ICIF, "letter of intent for cooperation on creating China's Guanlan Print original industry base"
