Ren Bishi's former residence
Ren Bishi's former residence is located in Tangjiaqiao new house, Bishi Town, 45 kilometers south of Miluo City. Ren Bishi was born here on April 30, 1904. He finished primary school here and spent his childhood and adolescence.
In December 2016, Ren Bishi's former residence was listed in the list of national Red Tourism classic scenic spots.
Historical evolution
Ren Bishi's former residence is located in the new house of nantangjiaqiao, Miluo City, Hunan Province. Changsha in the south, Yueyang in the north, the traffic is very convenient. Ren's ancestral home is Lengshuijing in the west of Baisha River. Later, he moved here, so Bishi's former residence is also called "Ren's new house". The former residence was built in the late Qing Dynasty, facing the west by North. It is a southern rural building with three rooms, three entrances and two rooms. There are 31 houses in total, covering an area of 1204 square meters. The West and south sides are closely connected with the houses, and the north and west sides have adobe walls. Inside the walls, there is a semicircular pond in front of the gate.
Ren Bishi's former residence has a green tile top and three concrete floor. The lower part of the wall is made of green bricks and the upper part is made of adobe. The windows of the four main rooms and the side rooms in the middle and upper rooms are made of palindrome panes and openwork figures, flowers and birds. On the north side of the hall is six rooms for Ren Bishi's family. In his childhood and adolescence, Ren Bishi's bed, tea table and desk are displayed.
Ren Bishi's former residence, the former neighbor's house in the south, is now set up as an exhibition room to display Ren Bishi's life and deeds. There are 146 precious cultural relics that Ren Bishi used in his lifetime. In 1958, a special person was appointed to manage the former residence. It is under the management of Ren Bishi's former residence management office. Ren Bishi (1904-1950), a great Marxist and proletarian revolutionist, was once the Political Bureau and Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Born here on April 30, 1904, he went to Changsha to study in 1915, where he spent his childhood and youth.
Functional zoning
In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Ren Bishi, inherit the legacy of the older generation of revolutionaries, and learn and carry forward his revolutionary camel spirit, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council officially approved the construction of Ren Bishi Memorial Hall on March 18, 1998, which was completed and opened on April 26, 2004. The memorial hall is closely connected with the former residence, covering an area of 120 mu, with a total construction area of 11360 square meters, including four functional areas: Memorial area, exhibition area, leisure area and service area. The exhibition of Ren Bishi's life and achievements in the 1200 square meter exhibition hall of the memorial hall adopts modern exhibition means such as sound, light and electricity, and carefully designs and arranges more than 560 pieces (pieces) of Ren Bishi's life and achievements The beautiful country scene valiant record of the six themes, comrade Bi Shi, has shown great achievements in four aspects: the founding of the Communist Youth League, the founding of the party, the founding of the army and the founding of the people's Republic of China. It has strong shock, attraction and appeal. The new statue of the huge 7.1 meter tall bronze statue of Ren Bishi stands on the green mountains and green waters, absorbing the essence of the sun and moon and protecting the life of one side.
The whole Ren Bishi memorial hall is a modern and multi-functional patriotic religious base and red tourism holy land, which condenses the noble personality and great spirit of a generation of great men, and reproduces the struggle course and spiritual style of the founding fathers.
Historical records of former residence
Comrade Bishi devoted himself to the Chinese revolution for 30 years. He became ill after a long period of hard work. Unfortunately, he fell ill in Beijing in October 1950.
After the death of Bishi, the party and the people cherish his memory and attach great importance to the protection and utilization of his former residence.
In 1956, the Hunan Provincial People's government announced Ren Bishi's former residence as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level;

On April 27, 1989, party and state leaders Wang Zhen, Yu Qiuli and Liao Hansheng attended the unveiling ceremony of Ren Bishi's bronze statue (now moved to Ren Bishi Memorial).
On March 15, 1991, Comrade Jiang Zemin paid a visit to his former residence and wrote an inscription with his own hand: "carry forward the camel spirit of working hard for the cause of the party and the people.".

Main structure
The former residence was built in the late Qing Dynasty, which is a typical Jiangnan Courtyard Residence in the Qing Dynasty. It faces east and West, with its back against the hill and its door near the pond. It is a brick and wood symmetrical structure courtyard with three entrances, two side houses and one hall. There is a dry gate in front of the courtyard, and the courtyard is surrounded by earth walls. In the courtyard, there are towering pines and cypresses, and bamboo trees. The former residence covers an area of 3800 square meters, 9 patios, a total of 37 large and small houses, all houses are covered with green tiles, green brick floor, three soil floor.
On the top of the gate is a black gold plaque on the "former residence of Comrade Ren Bishi" written by Deng Xiaoping in 1980. In front of the gate is a round pool with a water surface of about one mu. There are 30 mu mountain forest behind the house, and Ren Bishi's mother's tomb is in the forest. Ren Bishi's Bronze like plaster bust is displayed in Qianjin hall, with inscriptions written by Mao Zedong and other central leaders on both sides. Mao Zedong's inscription is: "Comrade Ren Bishi's revolutionary spirit is immortal"; the second entrance hall is hung with a giant plaque written by Zhao Puchu. There is a memorial room in the main hall of the third entrance, with a portrait of Ren Bishi and a wreath presented by the government, organizations and schools when Ren Bishi died.
In the bedroom of Ren Bishi's parents, there are beds, desks, large cabinets, tea tables, spinning wheels and mirror basins. In Ren Bishi's childhood bedroom, there are desks, chairs and beds he used. Chen Congying, wife of Ren Bishi, has a bed, a large cabinet and a tea table in her bedroom. All kinds of cooking utensils and utensils are displayed in the fire room, kitchen and dining room.
Experience
In the middle of the upper entrance hall of the former residence, there is a large Ren's Shrine, and the two sides of the Taishi chairs are lined up. At the top of beipianfang is the family's elementary school hall, which is called "Shizhong hall". More than a dozen old desks still exude a strong smell of ink. The next is the family's farm tools house and miscellaneous house, with plows, harrows, water wheels, windmills, pushers, sieves, pestles and so on.
The South Hall was demolished and converted into four exhibition rooms in 1988. Its exhibition room is divided into six parts: concerned about the country and the people, seeking the truth of the Chinese revolution; anti imperialist and national salvation leading the revolutionary youth movement; going north to win the long march; adhering to the correct line of the party in the Anti Japanese War; wholeheartedly participating in the major decisions of the Party Central Committee; camel spirit shining forever in the hearts of the people.
Before his former residence was Baisha River, which entered the Xiangjiang River and was once a swimming place for Bishi in his youth. To the east of the former residence is the hermit mountain, which is said to be the place of practice of Tao Tan, the sun of Tao Kan in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Comrade Bishi once performed a drama on the ancient stage of taohuadong in seclusion to publicize the patriotic thought of saving the country and the people. From the former residence to the South and West, there are Tongde primary school and Xuxian primary school, both of which are Bishi's alma mater. To the East is Yang Kaihui's former residence.
Composition of exhibition area
Ren Bishi's former residence covers an area of 80000 square meters. "Ren Bishi Memorial Hall" consists of exhibition area, memorial area, service area and leisure area. More than 400 objects and pictures on display in the 1200 square meter exhibition area show the brilliant achievements of Ren Bishi since he joined the revolution in 1920 and died young in 1950. Standing in the square, the bronze statue of Ren Bishi is still swaggering with a walking stick in hand, and his bright eyes are looking ahead. The newly built "hermit villa" with complete facilities has more than 40000 square meters of green space, and its architectural group integrates national style and modern rhythm. Ren Bishi's former residence is located beside the 107 national highway, which is a national key cultural relics protection unit. The inscriptions written by Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Ye Jianying and other leaders of the party and state are treasured in the former residence. The plaque of "former residence of Comrade Ren Bishi" inscribed by Deng Xiaoping in 1981 hangs high at the front of the door.
