Ancient buildings in Ximen Street
Ximen Street ancient buildings are located in Jianchuan County, Yunnan Province. The ancient city of Jianchuan has a long history. Five baht coins of the Western Han Dynasty were unearthed. The ancient city was built in 1390, with a history of more than 600 years. Up to now, the pattern of Ming Dynasty has been completely preserved. The river bridge protecting the city at Ximen, Beimen and Nanmen still exists. After many vicissitudes, the ancient appearance remains the same. At present, Jingfeng park has preserved the ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties, unique ancient streets, numerous ancient houses of Ming Dynasty and folk houses of Qing Dynasty.

The ancient alleys of Ximen Street are quiet, and there are many ancient houses, such as he house in Sihe Courtyard of Qiqu lane, Zhang house in Wuma square in Ming Dynasty, guangludi house in former residence of Zhao Bofan, Lu house in Ming Dynasty, etc. The residents of the ancient city are still living in the fresh cultural ecology, the ancient customs are still there. The ancient city is rich in multi-cultural forms, but it always retains the rich original Bai culture and the unique hazali Buddhism Tantric culture. The residents are mainly Bai nationality, and Bai language is the main communication language. Bai folk customs are well preserved. There are many former residences of celebrities in the ancient city, which still narrate the past events of the celebrities in the past dynasties.

Jiantao scenic spot with the ancient city as the center is a provincial scenic spot. Relying on the ancient city, you can not only go boating on Jianhu Lake, climb qianshishan mountain, visit woodcarving factories, visit former residences of celebrities, but also visit Shibaoshan and Sideng street, and enter Laojun Mountain to enjoy high mountain lakes, meadows and azalea sea.

The streets from Nanmen Street to Beimen Street are paved with bluestone slabs, and the Xingan residential buildings on both sides are set with pavements in front and courtyards behind, reflecting the prosperous business characteristics of the important town of chamashidao. The streets from Wenzhao street to Ximen street and the ancient dwellings fully show the style of Confucian culture. The center line and side line of the road are paved with stone slabs, and elastic stones are laid between them. In the past, only dignitaries, literati, the elderly, the weak, the young and the children were allowed to walk along the central road.
On May 25, 2006, as an ancient building of Ming Dynasty, Ximen Street ancient building complex was approved by the State Council to be listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
