Hongmei park is located in the north of Tianning Temple. It was originally the site of Tianning Temple Garden, and later expanded into the largest park in Changzhou City.

Hongmei Park
Hongmei Park (Hongmei Park) is located in the northeast of Changzhou City. It is named after the famous ancient building Hongmei Pavilion in the park. It is the largest comprehensive park in the city, the first garden in Changzhou and the largest national key Park in Changzhou. In 2010, it won the China living environment award.
Hongmei park is divided into three districts and eight sceneries. In the south of the park is the cultural relics area, with Hongmei Pavilion and Wenbi tower; in the northwest of the park is the entertainment area, with playground, Chunhui tea room, youth activity place, yacht, Tingsong building and dance hall; in the east of the park is the popular science education area, with zoo, bonsai garden, rose garden and tuyidaogenyi Museum.

Development history
Hongmei pavilion was first built in the period of Zhao song of Tang Dynasty, with a history of more than 1000 years. Hongmei pavilion was rebuilt in the period of Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. The pavilion, 17 meters high, is divided into upper and lower levels. The upper level is the jade worship room, doulao and Wenchang; the lower level is the teacher worship hall, which is dedicated to Zhang Tianshi, the founder of Taoism. The whole building is simple, heavy and magnificent, which is rarely seen in ordinary pavilions. At the end of winter and the beginning of spring, the red plum blossom is in full bloom. People can enjoy the plum blossom in the garden or go upstairs to enjoy the snow scenery. On the opposite side of Hongmei Pavilion is a rare relic of ice plum stone. Zhao Yi, a famous poet of Changzhou in the Qing Dynasty, once praised the beautiful scenery of Hongmei Pavilion: "when you come out of the country, you can find spring in Hakka, and the red plum trees are as bright as the clouds. Hongmei Park was built in 1958 and officially opened in 1960. It was named Hongmei park because of Hongmei Pavilion.
