Longanwei is built in proportion of 1:1, imitating the Zhencheng building in Yongding, Fujian Province. The enclosure is designed according to the eight diagrams in traditional Chinese culture. It is divided into two circles: inside and outside, forming a pattern of building inside and outside. Qianmen is "Xun Gua", while Qianmen is "Qian Gua". The outer building circle has 4 floors, 48 rooms on each floor and 6 rooms on each hexagram; each hexagram has a staircase as a unit; the two Hexagrams are connected by arches. There are one hall, two wells, three gates and eight units in the building. There is a fire wall between the hexagrams. If one hexagram catches fire, it will not affect the whole building. There is also a door between the two hexagrams. When it is closed, it will form one side. When it is opened, all sides can communicate. Once the thief enters the house, once the hexagram door is closed, the turtle can be caught in the urn. On both sides of the stage, 30 rooms on the upper and lower floors form an inner circle. It can be called a wonderful combination of Chinese and Western architecture. In 1995, its architectural model and the layout of the temple of heaven in Beijing as a whole building have both the imprint of Suzhou garden and the characteristics of ancient Greek architecture. It is also a vivid history of Hakka changes, expressing rich humanistic connotation. Yanyiwei is a tetrahedral building. Each side is 50 meters long and 15 meters high; at the corner of each wall, there is a projecting blockhouse building, and at the foot of each wall, there are two sewage holes.

The enclosed house is an architectural legend left by the Hakka ancestors in the vast mountains of Southern Jiangxi, which is engraved with the vicissitudes of the Hakka people. The structure with the central axis extending to the left and right makes the main hall the core of the whole enclosure, which embodies a strong centripetal force and cohesion. It is the most distinctive Hakka residential building in southern Jiangxi, a pearl in the enclosed houses in Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong, and known as "oriental ancient Roman Castle".
