Located in Fuping mountain, Taoxi Town, Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province, the wooden building built in Yuan Dynasty is the third oldest building in Zhejiang Province.
Yanfu temple is arranged along the central axis as the mountain gate, Tianwang hall, main hall, back hall and wing rooms on both sides.

Yanfu Temple
Yanfu temple is located in Fuping mountain, Taoxi Town, Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province. It was built in the second year of Tianfu in the later Jin Dynasty (937). It was originally named Futian temple. It was given the name of Yanfu temple in the reign of Shaoxi in the Song Dynasty. The existing buildings are arranged along the central axis as the mountain gate, Tianwang hall, main hall, back hall and wing rooms on both sides.
Historical evolution
There is a longevity pool between the halls and a stone stream well behind the hall. There are stone lion arches in front of the mountain gate and Guanyin hall. The main hall was rebuilt in 1317, the fourth year of Yanyou reign of the Yuan Dynasty. It is the most ancient treasure of Yuan Dynasty architecture in Jiangnan. The hall is square, divided into five rooms, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain.
The inner pillars are big in the middle and small at both ends. The side feet have the function of earthquake resistance, which can resist small earthquakes and typhoons. The first is a basin column base decorated with precious flowers, with a stone mound on it; the second is a mound shaped column, with a Ru Shu column between the front eaves column and the gold column, and the lower end is carved like an eagle's beak. The arched moon beam is added between the flat beam and the golden pillar to play the role of pulling. This method is the first of the arched beams in the south of the Yangtze River.
The paintings of landscape murals and cursive script on the surrounding walls are mostly excellent works of the Ming Dynasty. Shanmen, Tianwang hall and Guanyin hall were built in Qing Dynasty, with magnificent decoration. Dongxiangfang was built in Ming Dynasty. In the hall, there is a large iron bell cast in the second year of song Baoyou (1254); in front of the back hall, there is a pair of stone lions of the Yuan Dynasty; in the hall, there is a stone tablet of "rebuilding Yanfu Temple" written by Liu Yan in the first year of yuantaiding (1324) and a stone tablet of "rebuilding Yanfu Temple" written by Tao mengduan in the seventh year of tomorrow Shun (1463). Now it is a key cultural relic protection unit in China.

Yanfu temple is one of the three major temples in Alashan and one of the eight temples. It was built in the ninth year of Yongzheng (1731) and expanded on the basis of the "Sixteen Arhats hall". In that year, the Qing government officially presented Dingyuan camp to a Bao, the son of Huo Rulai, the king of Alxa, as a "royal residence", so it was called "royal residence Temple", also known as "Wangye Temple". Successive Alashan princes have made great efforts to the construction and development of the temple.
Yanfu temple is located in Fuping mountain, Taoxi Town, Wuyi County. Yanfu temple was built in 927, the second year of Tiancheng in the late Tang Dynasty. It was originally named Futian temple. Restoration work
In 2014, Xia Baolong, Secretary of the provincial Party committee, made a special visit to Yanfu temple, gave important instructions on the restoration and protection, and demanded that Yanfu temple, a Chinese architectural treasure, be well protected and utilized. In order to implement the instructions of secretary Xia Baolong, Jinhua and Wuyi Party committees and governments attached great importance to the restoration of Yanfu temple, established a strong leading group, and officially launched the restoration project on December 29, 2014.
On December 30, 2016, the completion ceremony of the restoration project of Yanfu temple, a state key cultural protection unit, was held in Yanfu temple, Taoxi town.
Introduction to scenic spots
The existing building complex of Yanfu temple in Taocun, Taoxi Town, Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province is arranged along the central axis as the mountain gate, Tianwang hall, main hall and Guanyin hall. The architectural characteristics of Yanfu Temple attract the attention of experts and scholars at home and abroad. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Liang Sicheng, an ancient architect, visited Yanfu temple and wrote about its structural features. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Professor Chen Congzhou of Tongji University of Shanghai visited for three times. In 1980, Dr. Kuan Kouchi Xinye, an expert on ancient architecture of Yokohama University of Japan, made a special trip to visit for three days, with a monograph introduction. In 1987, Zhao Puchu, President of the Buddhist Association of China, wrote the plaque of "Yanfu Temple", which made the ancient temple more colorful.
Local water reception
On July 16, 2019, a rainstorm occurred in the southern mountainous area of Wuyi, Zhejiang Province, with a rainfall of 83.6 mm. Yanfu temple was also affected by sudden rainstorm and heavy rainfall, which led to serious local water supply, but the main hall of Yanfu temple was not affected. Wuyi County Culture, broadcasting, tourism and Sports Bureau, cultural security office rushed to the scene for the first time to check the danger. The accumulated water in Yanfu temple has been discharged and returned to normal.
Repair condition
At the end of 2014, Yanfu temple was fully renovated and completed at the end of 2016. The new temple is magnificent and has a large area.
