Yang Kaihui's former residence
Yang Kaihui's former residence is in Bancang, about 60 kilometers northeast of Changsha City. The former residence is adjacent to the highway in the front and the hill in the back. Surrounded by pine and cypress, camphor, bamboo surrounded. The former residence is a farmhouse, which is divided into three steps according to the terrain, with three wide faces, earth brick walls, small green tiles and 28 rooms. Their parents' bedrooms and their own houses are displayed in their original state. Yang Kaihui memorial hall consists of four parts: Yang Kaihui's former residence, Yang Kaihui's martyr cemetery, Yang Gong temple and exhibition hall. It covers an area of 120 mu. It is a national AAAA tourist attraction, one hundred national Red Tourism classic scenic spots and Hunan patriotism education base. There are three provincial cultural relics protection units, including former residence, cemetery and Yang Gong temple.
In December 2016, Yang Kaihui's former residence was listed in the list of national Red Tourism classic scenic spots.
In September 2019, it was named "national patriotic education demonstration base" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Introduction to former residence
Yang Kaihui's former residence consists of three parts: former residence, cemetery and Yanggong temple.
The former residence is located in Bancang house farm, Kaihui village, Kaihui Township, Changsha County (formerly Qingtai township), in the northeast corner of Changsha County. It was built in the late Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. There are 36 rooms with earth, brick and wood structure, and the architectural style of ordinary farmhouse. The former residence covers an area of about 1400 square meters. It is the place where Yang Kaihui grew up in her childhood and childhood and later engaged in revolutionary activities. Yang Kaihui was born here on November 6, 1901. When she was 12 years old, she moved with her family to Changsha. After the failure of the 1927 revolution, she returned to live there until she was arrested in October 1930.
Personage introduction
Yang Kaihui, a famous scholar, is the only daughter of Professor Yang Changji. Unfortunately, he was arrested by the KMT government in October 1930. In November 1930, he died in shiziling, Changsha, at the age of 29. His remains were buried in the green trees on one side of his former residence. Born on November 6, 1901 in Bancang, Changsha County, Hunan Province, a progressive intellectual family. He joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in the second half of 1920. He married Mao Zedong in the winter of this year. After joining the Communist Party of China in 1921, he successively carried out revolutionary activities in Changsha, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Shaoshan. On October 24, 1930, Yang Kaihui was arrested. In the face of all kinds of coercion, inducement and torture from the KMT Changsha police headquarters, Yang Kaihui is unyielding and righteous: "if you want to fight, you can fight, you can kill, you want to get what you are satisfied with from my mouth, delusion!" "Beheading is like the wind! Death can only scare cowards, but not Communists! " The enemy asked her where Mao Zedong was going and asked her to publicly announce that she would break away from his husband and wife. Yang Kaihui firmly replied, "I want to break away from Mao Zedong unless the sea is dry and the rocks are rotten!" On November 14, 1930, Yang Kaihui died bravely at the age of 29 in zhiziling, outside Liuyang gate.

Yang Kaihui's former residence
Yang Kaihui's former residence is a cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province. It is located in Bancang, Qingtai township (now Kaihui township), Changsha County. It is about 70 kilometers away from Changsha. It was first built in the late Qing Dynasty, with civil structure, covered with small green tiles, facing Longbei mountain, facing south, and built with protective low wall in front to form a courtyard. It covers an area of 680 square meters. The above, middle and lower buildings are arranged in parallel, low in front and high in back. The front building is a double-sided wooden door with wooden railings in the middle; the middle building has three steps to enter the hall, and the horizontal plaque of "Bancang" is hung on the forehead; the center of the back building is the main hall, and the left and right sides are the houses. The wing rooms on both sides are mostly used as miscellaneous rooms and auxiliary rooms. Small courtyard or patio is formed between buildings, and Osmanthus fragrans and Ligustrum lucidum are planted in the courtyard. There is a vegetable field in the west of the courtyard and a pond outside. On November 6, 1901, Yang kaihuisheng entered dongtoubeijian in his former residence. In November 1966, it was opened after maintenance, and the houses of Yang Kaihui, Yang Changji and his wife, Mao Zedong and Yang Zhan were restored. During the renovation in 1980, many manuscripts and letters written by Yang Kaihui in 1928 were found in the cracks of the wall. On the top of mianhuapo hill, 300 meters to the right of the former residence, there is Yang Kaihui's mausoleum.
Yanggong Temple
Yanggong temple is a square structure. The house is built of brick and wood structure, covered with green tiles, and the corridor is supported by stone columns. The direction is 30 degrees north by East. The Yanggong temple covers an area of 1500 square meters and is divided into eight exhibition halls. Among them, some items used by Yang Kaihui are displayed in the first, second and third exhibition halls. The fourth exhibition room is Yang Changji's exhibition room, and the fifth exhibition room is Mao anying's exhibition room. In the front hall are Yang Kaihui's brief introduction and leaders' inscriptions. There are 11 rooms in the whole Yanggong temple, and there are grey sculptures on the exterior walls of the gatehouse. In 2005, it was announced as a provincial cultural security unit. The temple was built in the first year of Xianfeng, and Yanggong temple is well preserved.

In November 1930, after Yang Kaihui died in the shiziling of Changsha, he was buried on the north slope of mianhuapo. Mao Zedong sent 30 silver dollars for his three sons born to Yang Kaihui
In the name of "three links". In 1959, a memorial Pavilion and tower were built in front of the tomb. In April 1967, the cemetery was rebuilt and a mausoleum was built. In 1969, Yang's mother, Xiang Zhenzhao, combined with it to build a new tomb, covering an area of about 1.3 hectares. It is about 150 meters from the foot of the mountain to the tomb area. It is connected by three trapezoidal platforms. Each layer has stone steps, nearly 100 levels. Tombs in the top square platform, 18 meters long platform side, stone tomb, for concrete structure, marble veneer, tomb 6.6 meters long, 5.8 meters wide, 0.4 meters high. The tombstone is 2.7 meters long and 2.3 meters wide. It is made of white marble and engraved with the inscription "Mrs. Yang and martyr Kaihui are in the same cave". The tombstone behind the stone is engraved with the date of the tomb. Parallel to the tomb, a large-scale CI stele was built behind the tomb, engraved with a poem written by Mao Zedong in calligraphy "butterfly loves flower · answer to Li Shuyi". The cemetery is surrounded by pines to comfort the spirits. The tomb of Yang Kaihui's grandfather Shuqiao and his father Changji, as well as the tomb of his cousin Kaiming martyr, are also among the pines, cypresses and Zhangzi in the cemetery.
Kaihui martyrs cemetery is located on the right side of the former residence of Kaihui. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and adjacent to highway on the East, covering an area of more than 20 mu. The newly-built mausoleum is a concrete wall with a marble surface. On both sides of the mausoleum, a white marble tablet is erected. On the right side of the tablet is engraved "the tomb of martyr Yang Kaihui, a key cultural relics protection unit in Hunan Province".
