There are two Langmusi, located in Langmusi town at the junction of Ruoergai County in Sichuan Province and Luqu County in Gansu Province. A stream named "Bailong River" flows through the town. The Langmusi on the North Bank of the stream belongs to Gansu Province, also known as "andodacang Langmusi"; the Langmusi on the South bank belongs to Ruoergai County in Sichuan Province, also known as "geldi Temple", both of which belong to Gelu sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Langmu temple is named after the stone rock in the nearby cave, which is similar to the pavilion jade girl. "Langmu" means "Fairy" in Tibetan. Because there is a tiger cave deep in the shade behind the temple, which is called "dehecang" in Tibetan, the name of the temple can be translated as "fairy in the tiger cave".
There used to be many rare treasures in geldi temple, most of which were destroyed during the cultural revolution. Now there is a precious treasure, the body and spirit of the fifth geldi living Buddha. Located more than 300 meters northwest of saichi temple, the heavenly burial platform of saichi temple on the opposite side of the river is one of the largest in Anduo area. It has a history of more than 400 years. However, whether we can see the heavenly burial depends on luck.
Although Langmu temple is a small town with hundreds of families, it is also an international town. Tourists come from all directions and operators come from all over the world. Tourists from Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and other countries can be seen everywhere, and even Israeli tourists are often encountered, coming in an endless stream throughout the year.
