It is as famous as Zhenhai tower in Guangzhou and Yuejiang tower in Zhaoqing. After arriving in Huizhou, Su Dongpo lived here for more than a year and a month, and wrote such well-known poems as living in Hejiang building. Hejianglou has always been the east gate of Huizhou City, also known as Xiaodongmen and hejiangmen.
history
Hejianglou is the first stop of Su Dongpo's residence.
In Song Dynasty, hejianglou used to be a Jianglou in the zhonghuanghua Pavilion of Sansi Xingya. Huanghua hall is the post house of imperial officials. The name of Huanghua comes from the meaning of "huanghuangzhehua" in the book of songs, which is equivalent to a modern senior cadre hostel or hotel.
As a demoted official, Su Dongpo could not live in Hejiang building. But Huizhou prefect Zhan fan has great respect for Su Dongpo and specially arranged for him to stay.
According to Volume 6 of Volume 3 of Huizhou Fu Zhi (Guangxu Edition), the city of Huizhou Fu was rebuilt in the third year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, "today's city is Gate 7, Dongyang in the East, Pinghu in the west, Henggang in the south, Chaojing in the north, Hejiang in the small East, Dongsheng in the small West, Huiyuan in the water gate."
The fifth volume of Huizhou West Lake chronicle compiled by Zhang Youren records: "hejianglou, in the northeast of Fucheng, is the confluence of East and West rivers. Su Shi of Song Dynasty tasted this. "Fu Zhi" goes upstairs. It was destroyed in the Southern Song Dynasty
The Hejiang tower was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. As to when it was destroyed, it was reported that it was destroyed when the city was demolished in the early years of the Republic of China. Chen Fu, Liang Dahe, Miao Qinggeng, Lin Xiaoyan and others wrote in the 20th volume of Huicheng Wenshi: "demolishing the city in the early years of the Republic of China" means demolishing the city after the eastern expedition attacked Huizhou in October 1925, but most of the city buildings were not demolished at that time Huiyang telegraph office was set up in Xiaodongmen tower, Fucheng, which is located in Hejiang tower
reconstruction
In order to promote Dongpo culture, Huizhou Municipal Party committee and government decided to rebuild Hejiang building, Dongpo's first residence, to recreate the beautiful scenery of "two rivers in zhuloukai" in history. Municipal leaders Liu Jinzhou, Huang yebin, Huang Baiqing, Zheng Yonghe and Huang Jinhui attended the foundation laying ceremony of Hejiang building held at the new bridgehead of Qiaodong in the urban area on the 19th.
Hejiang building was originally a small East Gate Building in Huizhou, which has been revived and abandoned several times in history. This reconstruction is located at the intersection of Dongjiang River and Xizhijiang river at the head of Dongdong new bridge, which is 48.77 meters high. It is an official style of the Qing Dynasty, with nine stories of double eaves and a sharp top. It is planned to invest 15 million yuan.
Hejiang building was destroyed when the city was demolished in the early Republic of China. Now, only a few shabby houses and quiet streets can be seen in the old site. It's hard to imagine the grand occasion of "singing in the miscellaneous lane, drum horns and pillow seats" in Su Dongpo's works. According to records, in the past, Huizhou scholars had to go through the Song Dynasty wharf beside Hejiang tower to get on board when they came to Beijing for exams. A tower was built beside the building to inspire their enthusiasm, which was named "Wenbi tower". The 400 year old writing tower, once covered with weeds, has been restored.
