He Zhenliang and the Olympic exhibition hall are the first theme hall in China that combines sports celebrities with Olympic culture. It is located in the Canal Park in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of more than 3000 square meters. The appearance design of the exhibition hall is generous and simple, and the style is slightly similar to the style of the Republic of China in the early 20th century, highlighting the regional characteristics of Wuxi's famous industrial and commercial city. The museum makes use of Wuxi, an industrial heritage of the last century The original warehouse in the canal park and beside the Ronghu bridge has been rebuilt. The pictures, words and objects displayed are detailed and the layout is novel. The interactive projects inside can let visitors master the Olympic knowledge in the game.
He Zhenliang and the Olympic exhibition hall
On the Wuxi section of the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, there is a remarkable cultural facility. This is the "He Zhenliang and the Olympic exhibition hall" which was rebuilt from the original plastic factory warehouse in Wuxi in the 1960s and 1970s. It is also the first local Olympic memorial site in China.

He Zhenliang and the Olympic exhibition hall are the first Olympic theme exhibition hall in China. The exhibition area is 3800 square meters, which is divided into the main hall and the auxiliary hall. It is reconstructed from the warehouse of the Industrial Relics of the last century, retaining the original local architectural style.
The exhibition in the museum combines Mr. He Zhenliang's life story with the Olympic materials by means of sound, light and other modern means. Every exhibit in the museum is very meaningful: a personal portrait of He Zhenliang composed of many small photos of He Zhenliang, a special wall map presented by the Polish Olympic Committee to He Zhenliang during the 2008 Olympic Games, and a special license plate for bidding for the Olympic Games.

This exhibition hall with winding paths is composed of two warehouses connected with each other. In the main hall, He Zhenliang's life and his collection are displayed together with his Olympic knowledge; in the auxiliary hall, the achievements of some Wuxi Olympic celebrities and the corridor of 100m Olympic jade carvings are displayed.

Most of the Olympic souvenirs in the museum come from Mr. He Zhenliang. The statue of Mr. Coubertin, the "father of modern Olympics", displayed in the museum was presented to Mr. He Zhenliang by Mr. Rogge, the current president of the International Olympic Committee, from Lausanne, Switzerland.

Character background
He Zhenliang (1929-2015.1.4) was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on December 29, 1929, and his ancestral home is Shangyu, Zhejiang Province. Sports diplomat, new China Sports pioneer, new China sports history witness. He has been a member, honorary member, executive member, vice president of the International Olympic Committee, President and honorary president of the Chinese Olympic Committee, deputy director of the National Sports Commission, chairman of the culture and Olympic Education Commission of the International Olympic Committee, consultant and executive member of the Organizing Committee of the 29th Olympic games.
He Zhenliang went to Shanghai with his family when he was nine years old. After graduating from University, he went to Beijing and soon joined the State Sports Commission. He is the witness of new China's sports going to the world. He was once rated as one of the ten most influential sports leaders in the world by foreign sports journals. Although Mr. He Zhenliang has been out of Wuxi for several decades, he always thinks he is a real Wuxi man.

Liangxi scenic spot is close to Taihu Lake and Huishan mountain; the treasure land of Jiangjian leads the Yangtze River to pull the canal. It is also a place where you can see Xihui from afar, with its green and majestic mountains, and listen to the waves of the canal near, where the water conveys warmth. With beautiful scenery and outstanding people, it has been a prosperous city of Commerce and trade since ancient times, and also a derivative area of modern industry. With the vicissitudes of life, the Olympic Park will be built in the old place. On one side of the park, there are warehouses of Industrial Relics of the last century. In order to welcome the Centennial grand event of Beijing Olympic Games and to record the great achievements of He Zhenliang in his bid for the Olympic Games, Wuxi Municipal Party committee and Wuxi Municipal government made a decision to order the city investment and Development Corporation to carry out the overall planning, and the Municipal Sports Bureau, the new Bureau of culture, radio, television and the people's Government of Beitang District to build the "He Zhenliang and the Olympic exhibition hall".
However, the purpose of building the museum is not only to welcome the Olympic Games and highlight the meritorious officials. In the long run, spreading Olympic knowledge, carrying forward the Olympic spirit, promoting the ideological and moral construction of young people, strengthening patriotism education, and glorifying the historical and cultural city all have their due meaning.
The foundation of the museum was first laid on April 30, 2007. It took one year to build it.
